How is the music and mp3 quality on the Desire? Is it good enough to replace an Ipod? At least from what I heard it's quite bad even compared to Galaxy S.

How much does the battery last with only listening to music (with screen off).

I have finally fixed my connection problems, I installed a new "radio" on my HTC Desire, 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2 so now HTC Desire is the best Android-phone, it is actually still faster than Galaxy S with its latest beta Froyo installed, Galaxy S still lag but Desire does not lag at all, and with the new "radio" installed I have no connection problems on 3G or wifi. :)

hi guys! Been using HTC Desire for 3 months now. Fab phone but was having connection problems (dropping calls) on Virgin Media network but resolved by selecting GSM only. However still having trouble sending MMS - recipient doesn't receive. Tried variety of ways to send. Any ideas?? Not sure if network or phone??? Considering ending contract. Anyone Help!!!

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2010hi!!! seems like u have successfully upgraded ur htc desire... moreI'm sorry, but I'm not exactly a software expert either.

Obviously something went wrong during the upgrading (perhaps connection cut off halfway etc), but I believe there is no way that you can downgrade it back to 2.1. Not even a factory reset will help. Try to write in an email to HTC, and ask them about it.

I had Samsung Galaxy S, HTC Desire, and iPhone 4. The Desire I had no problem with it and worked great and fine except the screen was not as nice and sharp as Galaxy But i hear from some that Desire has problem with 3G.

The Galaxy Screen looked great but was build from cheap plastic and had so many problem with phone such as lagging, slow, freezing and reseting very often. So, I sold the phone and bought Blackberry 9800 which i have no problem with.

So I owen iPhone 4 and BB 9800 and I am totally happy with.
