I'm still thinking if I should get this phone or not (I've read reviews here but I'm still contemplating if ever I get this phone or not...).
One of my questions is that: does this phone have any problem with browsing the internet or connecting to the radio? I've read one review that the person's wifi connection disconnects and reconnects once in a while. Also, this phone cannont use MP3 music as ringtones? (does say in the 'specifications' but I just wanted to make sure).

And if there's other obvious flaws I should know, please let me know.

Thank you!

Seamon, 12 Sep 2010hi, what problem are you facing in Samsung Galaxy S. I a... moreGalaxy S is "lagging" a lot (and the latest beta Froyo firmware I9000XXJPC is lagging extremly much and is very far from an funktional official release), the gps sucks, the FM-radio is only mono, the screen resolution is pixelated because the real resolution is actually smaller than 480x800 because some colour-pixels are bigger, and on a this big screen that is a real problem, the colours are clearly fake and looks more like a cartoon than real and not only black is black but a lot of other dark colours become black.
But the connection-problem with Desire is definetly a worse problem. Desire has 2.2 but the constant disconnecting and reconnecting to the 3G network makes it almost pointless to be able to play flash 10.1 so the 2.1 on Galaxy S is better than 2.2 on Desire because it is a real extreme pain to try to listen to streaming musik, using Spotify or LastFM, or watch streaming video with its constant start and stops...

I thought for once that Steve Jobs was right on his idea that a phone didnt need a physical keyboard. But I guess he will continue being wrong and that touchscreen phones will be just for teenagers or people in their early twenties that just use their phones for playing games. Working people will still need real keyboards...

I have found a big, fatal, problem with Desire, it is unable to keep a stable 3G-connection while listening to Spotify or LastFM it disconnects and reconnects every few minutes making listen to streaming musik a real pain. This is a very BIG problem for me since I love listening to streamed musik. This is also a problem when surfing the web because it disconnects and reconnects to often that it is becoming anoying when the browser can not find the webpage, but after reloding a minute later the connection is back and the webpage can be found. I am not alone with this problem and it has been known for several months but HTC has not done anyting to fix it, and the Froyo-update did not fix it.
Galaxy S has a lot of problems but I hope they will be fixed with its update to Froyo, but this connection-problem on Desire is a fatal problem that forces me to go back to my "old" crappy Galaxy S and wait for Froyo.

                      Hi all,

I will be getting my first HTC phone at the end of this month or at the latest, the end of October. The HTC Desire was pefect for me but I was hesitant about the battery. I know all smart phones have poor batteries. I am never keen on the idea of charging the phone daily. Also I play games on my phone so I wanted a beast of a battery. Anyway with a little online research, I have found you can buy extended batteries on the internet. If you google search HTC Desire Mugen 3200 battery or Seidio Innocell HTC Desire, you will see batteries that are twice, three times or even four times stronger than the one that comes with the phone. So those worried about the battery life, her is the solution. Thank God I didn't get an iphone4. Thank God I am finally leaving Nokia. Thank God for Android and the Taiwan wonder HTC.
