Updated to froyo 2.2 over the weekend, excellent piece of software, and it went through without any problems..
now just missing the new sync software or itunes sync to work then it is the real iphone slaugther...
Love the phone and all it functions....

These phones are so freaking expensive!!!!
I can't afford these HTC phones though they must be good.
They are not in my radar at the moment.

Also, the the type of screen is most likely mentioned on the box.

Was very close to buyng this phone, but then it was announced abt the change of display, so now waiting to see what's best.
Also confussed, maybe thinking abt going in for HTC Wildfire and then after a year wud upgrade to HTC that can handle Android V3, b'coz both Wildfire and Desire cannot handle android V 3.
Let's see hw things go.

i live in lebanon and i want to buy this phone tomorrow but i just want to know if the device im buying has amoled screen or slcd. Is there any way to identify the amoled one?

this is crazy ive managed to get online with opera mini but i cant access tv catchup it says flash player is wrong type i thought 2.2 came with this flashplayer to access these site wtf is going on?

just updated to FROYO 2.2 in the USA. tried tethering and works like a charm. WOW the flash works fluidly. everyone who wants to buy iPhone or any other smart (dumb) phones think again! HTC hands down the best phone now.

i cant access the internet it goes back to main screen when i go on web site,my music is all wrong the covers are missing on some and others dont match the song...plus the camera isnt the same as ive seen on nexus 1 froyo on youtube videos can you reinstall it or is that it done because i wish id not done it...
