I got mine today
DAMN, WHAT A PHONE !!!!
I got a dozen of smartphones but this one is incredible !
I'm in love with my phone :D
Extremely tweakable, super fast and its looks great !!
I got the silver one and the looks and design are fantastic !!!
Also about the battery, i charged him for 5 hours and played,installing,etc the whole evening and the battery indicator didnt move ... :D
I installed the Advanced app killer and droid msn as the first 2 apps, are there other apps that i SHOULD install imediatly ? ;-)
Also 720p movies in 3GP looks great !!!
i buyed the phone in europe for €468 wich is awesome and the nexus here costs €700 !!!
Best phone ever and its definatly THE IPHONE KILLAH ;-)

some 1 xplain to me what the hell is going on???
Desire price is 600 € !!! why so expensive!!!
you can buy a NX1 about 450 € !!!
please some one tell me why the price

I want to ask everyone how have HTC Desire that is it have screen, scratch resistance ? like google Nexus one or iphone 3gs ?

Well ty. I was hoping for some good news. The thing is that the Desire is 250 euros if I shoose to continue for 2 years. I don't know how mutch longer the offer will last. Maybee they want to gain some fast customers or compete with Orange that has a monopoly on iPhone. I don't know exaclty, but I want to be able to pay games like on the iPhone. ph1 answer me this, if android will upgrade and then we will be able to save applications in the memory card, it will just be a matter of updating the software right?

Andrei, 28 Apr 2010now here's a question for all you Desire owners out ther. a... morejust like every android phone, u cannot save apps to the sd card, unless u decide to root it (which voids ur warranty). what some apps can do is install themselves on the phone's internal memory and then save data they require/gather on the sd card. an example of this wud be a navigation app installed on the phone but maps r installed to the sd card. as far as im aware, there is no single app big enuf to not be installed on the phone due to lack of memory.
there r lots of rumors about when android will officially support saving apps to sd card. alternatively u cud buy other phones with more internal memory. htc is working on phones with more internal memory. samsung r also releasing phones with more internal memory but i heard that they r not getting updated when newer versions of android come out or updated as soon as u wud like.
from wikipedia:

and newer rumors say the galaxy i7500 will soon be updated from android 1.5 to android 2.1 in q2 (if it hasnt happened already, sorry idk much about samsung android phones)
i also heard that the memory of samsung android phones is partitioned in such a way that u get much less than the 8gb to store apps. however, apps i think r usually under 5mb so u probably cud store enuf apps on even the desire which has less internal memory. i wud assume that is u stored all pictures, video, music to the sd card and used the internal storage space for just apps, u wud probably be happy. this does however depend on personal taste.

As far aas i'm aware all Apps that are downloaded are installed onto the Phone memory. I would assume that this would include games too.
It has been hinted that a future update may corret this.
loving the Desire though.

C'mon guys. I see so many post like "I have the phone for 3 week snow and it's great..." Didn't any of you test the memory limits on the phone? Pls install a game (a big one obviously), and see where the main part of the game is placed. On the telephone memory or on the memory card with only a fraction of the game placed in the telephone memory? Someone posted that it's the bulk of the game should be placed in the memory card but it's not confirmed by any1. Pls help me with this. It's the only thing that keeps me from buying the phone. I can't test it anywhere here. I've tried to find someone with this phone but to no avail. Pls try it. TY.

i want to ask if i can use desire to show applications like books . cause i want to use it as a reference in my career " i am physcian". i was planning to buy hd2 . but many say that desire better. please help me with your opinions. thank you

this is the best phone i have used...ever and i work in a phone shop. much faster than iphone 3gs, almost double the speed and the applications are hectic. free gps navigation with google maps. would definitely recommend this phone

I have huge contacts! Does it the phone lags with size of data e.g. contacts and sms?
Also, how easy it to synch?I had lots of synch problems with previous HTC fone. Thanks
