behzad, 25 Apr 2010tanx lyon if u mind i have several question else is there... morei myself has never owned a smartphone before so i am not sure how much space would one need, but it's definitely relative to his usage no? u will have around 120mb for apps installation and i was told one app can be from 2-5 meg? so you can do the maths urself and see if it has enough space for u. as to installing apps on sd card, as of now, after i have contacted HTC, they say they cant confirm that now and there is no official news on that. it's all rumours for now. there is no black Desire, just brown and silver ones~ i would love to have a black one too~ but the brown one is a good alternative for me~

The desire is a superb almost perfect phone. If one does not mind the size I believe the perfect phone is just around the corner 3 months to be exact blowing the competition to bits is the Htc Evo. It will be flawless lacking nothing. It will by far surpass the Samsung i9000 galaxy s, the iPhone 4 g and even the amazing htc desire.

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2010HELLO, can somebody tell me how is the speaker quality,is ... morei do not hv the htc hd1 but im gna do my best to answer ur question based on test results.

                            LOUDNESS/VOLUME
according to tests, the ringtone and music on desire is louder than the hd1 and hd2. the volume of the speaker when talking to some1 is slightly less loud. the hd1 volume for voice is rated at 77.7dB whereas the desire is rated at 76.6dB. its not a major difference and i think in this case the clarity is more important than the volume. u do not want amplified noise.

                            QUALITY/CLARITY
i cant post pictures here so ill hv to give u a link to the audio tests done by gsmarena.
                            http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_touch_hd-review-300p6.php
                            http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_desire-review-468p8.php
as u can c the line on the graph is much smoother.
also look at the tables and go by these rules:
                            - signal to noise ratio: higher wins
                            - dynamic range: higher wins
                            - total harmonic distortion (thd): lower wins
                            - intermodulation distortion (imd): lower wins
                            - stereo crosstalk: higher absolute value wins

also note that gsmarena says the speaker is great on the htc desire so i wud guess u wud be satisfied with it. that said, u shud try to use a working model b4 u buy it. i hope i helped

Faiz, 24 Apr 2010Thank you man for you time and efforts. I heard that the H... morethere is a cdma version for america and that will release on april 29th. a gsm version has not yet been announced. it is rumored. but so far every android handset that is available in the states has also been available in europe and parts of asia. usually what happens is the name is changed but the specs remain identical. (a good example is motorola droid which arrived in europe as the motorola milestone around a month after the american release. in america the htc incredible is nicknamed droid incredible) if htc does plan to release the incredible outside of america, i wud guess they wud release it in summer time after ppl hv bought lots of htc desires. it wud seem senseless to release it just now bcos then they wud cut the sales of the htc desire. another example is the google nexus 1. it is almost identical to the htc desire. nexus 1 was released a while b4 the desire but only in certain parts of the world even tho it was gsm.

so while the gsm version of htc incredible might not be called incredible, there probably will be a gsm version with similar specs as the htc incredible. however, i cannot guarantee that there will be a gsm incredible. i can only make guesses. im sorry i cannot provide a yes or no answer here.

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2010Hi I have atm a samsung omnia hd. I want to buy anoth... moreif u dont really care that much about good video recording, then the desire is gr8. however, u might also be interested in the htc incredible which shud come out soon. like ur omnia hd it will hv an 8mpx cam and take better pictures than desire. it will also have better specs compared to the htc desire. however, it wont hv 720p recording capabilities.

here r a few reasons why htc desire will be an upgrade 4 u:
                                DISPLAY:
both r the same size and use amoled, but the htc desire has a greater resolution so pictures shud be more crisp on its screen. probably better for video playback as well.

                                CPU & MEMORY:
it has less internal storage (and this might be a problem if u plan on downloading tons of apps cos android doesnt allow u to save apps to sd cards) however both r upgradeable by 32gb (so u cud store all music, videos, pictures... and use all the internal memory for apps. or root it but this voids ur warranty). anyway the htc desire has more than double the ram so multitasking (and single tasking) run smoothly. also the cpu is a lot more powerful. pls watch this video i found (yeah i know the music is terrible):
                                http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UzNYvHMz-A
it shows how smooth it runs, and it compares it to its rival from se, the x10, which as u can c, takes longer to load files and the display is worse. (look at the blacks in particular)

                                EXTRAS:
htc has a few features which r not essential, but a welcome upgrade from the samsung omnia hd. first of all its got multitouch. it also has an optical trackball, a nice touch for navigation especially if u hv greasy hands and dont want to make smudges on the display just after u hv cleaned it. android of course has an app marketplace with lots of free apps. as a percentage it has the greatest amount of free apps (out of all the app stores). the sense ui is also a joy to work with. u hv lots of widgets/shortcuts and several homescreens so finding what u need and customizing content is easy. the htc is also slightly smaller, so more pocket-able.

i hope i have been helpful and i wish u the best of luck in choosing ur next handset.

True if that is important to you then I guess it has to be the Samsung i9000 galaxy s as it has the 8 and 16 g internal memory
