x10 is best smartphone in the world no best camera phone plz understand this larg display great ui and best hardwere yes x10 have tft display but iphone too have tft display look at iphone dispaly and say TFT is rabish and dont forget sony made frist oled tv in word so dont say oled it is not best camera phone it is a best smart phone i see the video of x10 vs desire and x10 is better and desire only have a larg ram from x10 and oled display x10 in many factor is better
dont forget sony like no other ...

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2010you shouldn't be bragging the Incredible that much unless i... moreim not bragging about anything. im just telling the guy about a few alternatives he might want to consider as well as htc desire and se x10. htc incredible is supposed to release worldwide. im just saying the american version will release on april 29 so the rest of the world shud see it soon. all android phones in america have european equivalents. they r just sometimes given different names.

Most games will actually only use the internal memory for the app itself (a couple of MB at most) while the game data will be stored on the SD card. Just like GPS navigation software will only use a couple of MB of internal memory and have the maps/voices/etc stored on the SD card.
So it's not a big issue unless you're planning to install an excessive amount of apps :)

You and every other SE fanboy have been making a fuzz about it since the day the Desire was released.
For most people, the difference between 5 and 8 mpix is irrelevant, especially with the smallscale optics that are needed to fit into a phone. And for those who actually care, they will probably buy a phone with a lot of mpix.
Now go buy yourself an X10 and enjoy it. No one will try to stop you, I promise :)

[deleted post]personally i wud prefer the desire and here are a few reasons y:
BUILD
htc is smaller (more pocketable) and seems like it has better build quality
DISPLAY
htc has the better screen. its got a (slightly) higher dpi but it uses amoled instead of the tft on the x10 display. amoled produces more vibrant colors in dark conditions but as u can c from these pics, it also produces better (or more true) colors under well lit conditions.

on the x10 even the blacks are blue tinted. also u shud take into consideration that the desire supports 16mil colors whereas the x10 is limited to 65k colors thanks to its outdated os. wen it does get updated to the new os it shud support 16mil colors as well but that doesnt change the fact it will still use a tft display with worse dpi.
MEMORY
the x10 has more internal memory. currently android doesnt allow saving apps to sd card so ur stuck with that internal memory. u cud root the phone to save to sd card but that voids the warranty. however, if ur willing to w8 the htc incredible shud come out soon and that will hv 8gb internal memory. (thats 8x the internal memory of the x10). htc incredible will release in america on 29 april so the rest of the world shud folo fairly soon. also, by looking at the specs, it says that desire supports more expandable memory (up to 32gb, x10 is 1/2 that amount). se fanboys will tell u that it supports 32gb but i go by the specs posted on se's website for the x10. also the desire has more ram and if u do multitask a lot its the better choice.
CAMERA
htc desire has a worse, 5mpx, cam. the x10 has 8mpx and better video recording. however, if u r willing to w8 for the htc incredible, it will also hv an 8mpx cam.
EXTRAS
i think the htc is better here as well. it comes with the latest version of android and a few features the x10 doesnt hv. such as multitouch. x10 might/shud get it soon. theres also a personal taste involved here as well. both phones come with a ui. the 1 on se is more demanding on the processor, occasionally causing a decrease in performance. se hv covered it up (sorta) with animations. htc hv done their ui a different way. instead of u needing to open multiple apps, they provided several widgets and shortcuts that u can place right on one of the multiple homescreens. this is great for easy and fast access. also i get bored from the multiple shades of blue. they both have fairly identical sound quality and battery life. to me the se x10 just seems to do things slightly slower and slightly less smooth. see this video:

dont forget the desire is running animated wallpapers in the background which u dont need to do and this not only drains battery but also slows down the phone, yet i wud say it still performs better than the x10. load times seem worse on the x10 and u can notice that the desire delivers richer colors.
this is just my opinion. u might want to look at the htc incredible (or htc evo 4 if u live in america). good luck choosing.

[deleted post]Desire has better hardware and software (Sense UI is just a beauty). but Desire has limited internal storage space and a lousier camera compared to X10. Designwise, I prefer Desire IMHO. I am not into X10 so you better read up at X10's forum itself to find out mroe.

I have had my Desire a few days now and all I can say is WOW, its the best phone I have ever had and in my opinion its far better than anything Apple has to offer. Keep up the great work HTC.
