i might have to settle for the legend over this cause my hands are not that big to hold the whole desire in hand lol. But i dont really find a difference except for the Ram and the snapdragon i could settle with a little slower

IF these spex comes with the HTC Legend design and dimensions it would be the best phone ever. But plus:

+ second mic (like the Nexus one)

Hey guys... do you know if the Sense UI on the Android 2.1 offers the live Weather Wallpaper on the Desire? It looked kinda cool on HTC HD2 but I'd prefer it on a Android :)

New kernel from xda-developers fixed that but hey, thats rooting ;)

Just to stop the arguing about the speech to text feature... The HTC Desire WILL have this feature - I have this working perfectly well on my HTC HERO already (which only has 1 microphone BTW) Granted, it may not work quite as well in a noisy environment.
So, 'only the google N1 can have this feature...' is absolute nonsense! it's only 'software' that is stopping ANY phone(with a microphone and data connection) from having this feature! common sense should tell you that! Whether or not this feature will come as standard out of the box - I cannot say.
Also, I can't wait to get this phone when it is out in March/April (uk)

S2T will not work if you are in noisy place and phone cannot recognize your words... if there is noise reduction, it can recognize words correctly and translate into text... got it? ;) of course, noise cancellation is used for normal calls as well...

I wonder why htc doesn't include secondary camera in their latest phones. I always use video call when calling my family and girlfriend. Maybe even if not everyone using it, just put it there as a value added feature. I love this phone because of the great design, large and capacitive screen. Not to forget the great processor too.. Maybe I have to wait for htc desire 2..lol
