1-Which is the best cutom... more1. Depend on what you would like or looking for, there are much variety/choice of ROM on xda forum under Desire Development thread. If you looking for fastest try find miui, aosp or miui base ROM. And also awesome sense 3.5 ROM based.
2. HTC Desire doesn't have any front camera, I doub't if we really use it. Except you are into online video calling.
3. Yes, if you root and flash certain ROM which enhanced memory, for example Supernova Extreme which use partition memory card to store installation apps.

i have 3 cdma disires 6-8 hours of battery.needs recharged before the day is over.very annoying.if you shut off the gps it lasts longer. half your apps quit.if you shut down the "always "on" internet"the other half of your apps quit.

Can someone tell me how to unlock this phone? Sim free? cuz here in my country tehy cant do so,i have tried but nothing. I tried that XDA dev tool but nothign :s.

Anonymous, 19 Feb 2012how can one upgrade the desire to 2.3??? please The official 2.3 upgrade shoulds be available from HTCdev.com, alternatively you can root it and put one of several 3rd-party ports of 2.3 on it, eg. Oxygen, Cyanogenmod.

There's very little that reviews have not already covered. This phone is probably one of HTC's best. I,have been using mine for nearly a year and a half and have been very happy with its features, performance, estetics,and OS overlay of Android. It was definitely at the top of its class when it hit the market. The only negative to this phone is its RAM storage. Since HTC's system takes up so much space, it just does not leave enough room for you to download apps to your hearts content without having to occasionally delete some other already installed app. Otherwise, this is a magnificent piece of technology.

i have htc desire a8181, the camera suddenly went blank an dthe flash light kept coming on and off. i did factory reset yet the problem persist. i dont have privacy in my settings.
can somebody help?

Overall not that happy. Lots of teething problems from day 1. After my contract expires will definitely be switching brands.
