One Tip to save more internal memory..

this is one problem i always encounter. Memory Low..
this happens when apps piles up and they arent movable to SD card. but just lately iv discovered who's been gluttonous to my internal memory..
and "Apps to SD" wont tell you this...

check your facebook app size in apps to sd.. its supposed to be 4.8 mb (thats the default app size).. if its not then Fb app is ur culprit.. this is what you do..
go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All...
tap on the "Facebook" app (**Not facebook for htc sense**) and ul be in the Application info.. take a look at the storage section..it should look like this

Storage
Total------------ 4.8 mb
Application------ 4.8 mb
Data------------- 0.00 b

check ur data value its the primary culprit.
before i discovered this my data value was already 20mb... damn.. that means a lot for a desire user..

fb app happens to save all of the viewed pics, pages, walls, everything in ur phone using the phone memory.

all you have to do is to tap on "Clear Data".. but by doing this ul be Erasing Everything in ur fb app database. means u have to log on again in ur fb account.. but this is nothing compared to what ul gain in ur internal memory.

now... check every app u have that isnt movable to sd card (though i havent tried those in the sd card if they're also using the phone memory for their database)... and clear all data of those apps, ul gain a lot of internal memory...

Cheers!

Tips to prolong your battery life...

1.Switch ur Network Mode to "Gsm only". having both wcdma and gsm active eats a lot of battery.

(Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Mode)

2.Turn Off "Background Data" in Accounts & Sync when u dont need it. i personally do this whenever i go out when i aint gonna be able/needing to sync.

3.Use a Stationary Wallpaper.. Live Wallpapers has an apetite for battery.

4.Turn Off Wifi when not in use and dont max out ur display brightness.

**i personally dont use task killers, i believe they dont help much in prolonging battery life. i used to use one and theres no difference.
Because in My opinion and to what iv googled around, what task killers do is kill every single program u have... so the moment u tap on anything even live widgets, it has to start on again from scratch.. killing off and restarting eats more battery.
Android is intelligent enough to manage idle programs. thats why task killers is not always included in the default functions and you wont get them out of the box. cause i believe the HTC guys would be the first to know if they're needed or not. (think of this, previous htc phones ,specifically win mo's, always had a task manager)..

    Peace Ppl!

    Cheers!

When I try to use the camera on my HTC Desire, the device freeze up. After that I can't use the camera neither close the camera application, so only solution is to remove the battery. What should be the reason for this ?

I have been eagerly waiting for the gingerbread update since March 2010 but it seems that Htc doesnt want to deploy the next version of android for the most successful htc handset. Its discouraging for all htc desire user's.

[deleted post]hi sir! extra lang ako.. hehe.

i would suggest you to go for htc desire... one big difference of htc phones over other phones is the
                          Htc Sense User Interface..

heres a link explaining what you will get from Htc that you wont from samsung...

                          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MchNr8TagNU

actually, the phone featured here is htc hero(htc desire's grandpa). so expect htc desire to be a lot better version than this one.

this is the very reason i went and will still go for Htc phones over other brands.. Htc Sense Ui is just Amazingly Great!

                          Cheers!

I am about to buy a phone and im choosing between this phone or the samsung i9003 as both have almost the same price. can i ask if this phone has a "built-in" task killer?? And in our counrty, the Philippines, when you buy this phone, its already updated to the froyo version. can this phone still be updated with gingerbread?? which do you guys think is the better phone to buy between the 2?? Thanks!!!

Android Gingerbread operatingsystem has been out since december 2010, disapointing is the fact that HTC has no update for the desire(smart phone?).
                                      Not good for HTC's reputation.
It seems thisway these phones will never perform to their ability.
Maybe therefore the Iphone is a beter product, just as the google nexus phones.
HTC needs to step up to the plate now in order to show the quality of the company and their smartphones.
Specifications of a phone doesn't mean anything anymore.
