I'm craving on having the Gingerbread for my htc desire...is it already available in the market now for free? if so, how to get one?

hey guys.. im planning to get a desire here.. so i would like to ask a few question about the gps function of it.. is it a good gps device? hows the location app going on? i've heard from a friend that it only works well once in a while.. and also can i install a 3rd party gps apps into it? if yes any recommendation?

camera and all everythings good to go lots of people regret taking out x10....dont be one of them there are soooo many new fones being released this month all with more updated features as compared to x10....if u are a sony ericsson fan fo with s.e ARC or NEO...both got 8mp camera and running on androids gingerbread.and so much more ..do sum rsearch b4 gettin a new handset..it will def. help...dats wat gsmarena is here for....

I seriously dont understand why people go for smartphones when they are looking for things like camera,sound. A smartphone should first of all be a GOOD smartphone(ie no lag, good UI etc.). Which the X10 is seriously not. If you want camera and all go for feature phones. And btw even the desires multimedia capabilities are good. Though no doubt erricson's better in multimedia

I am planning to buy x10 or Htc but i want a good camera good screen, good music quality and most importantly battery and camera i am more inclined to buy an x10 can you suggest me a phone that suits my needs

Could somebody advise me.It's something wrong with my HTC Desire App. Market. When i try to open just in apps, it says that android market has stopped unexpectedly.What is going on?

i would strongly suggest htc desire..from overall functionality.. its number 1 for me.
==got a powerful and insanely fast web browser.. u view web pages as u view it in pc (Not Mobile Optimized format which ul usually see in nokia's slow and laggy web browser)..
==multi tasking is desire's middle name... with its 576Mb Ram.. u can toggle a lot of functions at time. i even tested its multi tasking capacity..one time, i tried playing a game and listening to music while in the background im downloading and installing 3 apps from the android market... everything in the same time..the best part of it... no hangs!
==very socially oriented phone this is..the best phone book ul ever have(for now..). imagine u can choose and link ur social network friends in ur phone book, so when u view that specific contact,its not just "send sms or call contact" are the options, u have access to his/her fb wall,pics, tweeter acct, flickr photos... everything in just one phone book..
=== outstanding and award winning Htc Sense user interface.. with good looking interactive widgets..
=== android market is very progressive when it comes to apps, ovi store doesnt comes close...
== sexy looks, cmon, u cant see that in other mobile phones today.. =)
but still in the end its your personal choice that should prevail..i laid down some of desire's features..its still upto you to decide.
im using my desire for 2months..and its been the love of my mobile life. up until now, it never fails to amaze me. Simply the Best Mobile phone iv ever had...
You wont regret if you go with desire..

Hey m using desire for the past 2 months and it currently running on android 2.2. Does anyone know that when will HTC roll out the next version of android for indian user?
