Paolo, 19 Apr 2011Hey guys, is this phone really worth buying? A lot of people seem to think so. Plus, it consistently gets awarded top marks in reviews. I have a friend who has one and can't praise it enough.
Personally though, I don't like it very much for my own reasons, so it really is down to personal choice.

Quiapo Dibidi, 19 Apr 2011Hi!
my statement actually is referring here in the Phili... moreHello.
Thanks for your reply. Interesting to see the difference in prices between two countries. You are correct that Nokia does have a market dominance in certain countries, hence the low price and fast depreciation. HTC on the other hand are a relatively new smartphone manufacturer, so don't have the same market share as Nokia, hence the higher price and slower depreciation. Also consider the bad publicity Nokia have suffered recently with the N8 regarding the dying ( faulty motherboard ) and the purple screen issue which has yet to be resolved. Not to mention the announcement by Nokia that they are discontinuing Symbian OS, and adopting Windows Phone OS instead. That alone caused quite a bit of dis-satisfaction amongst loyal Nokia users.
All the best.

Please tell me
Htc desire is good or xperia x10In my opinion, of course htc desire..
talk about overall functionality, powerful web browser, and sexy looks.. thats htc desire...
i actually havent used x10.. but its looks (for me) is a major turn off.. its just way too big and doesnt have that provocative looks compared to desire..
plus... Htc Sense user interface is so cool! things u need when u choose it served beautifully..

Ray Hipkiss, 18 Apr 2011 Glad your loving your Desire. However, your little bash at... moreHi!
my statement actually is referring here in the Philippines. i didnt specify it for i usually dont cause i dont think theres a necessity.. but since you reacted, hence this reply... =)
the release prices of both phones i really dont know how much but when i bought my desire last 2 months.. here are their prices in cash basis (not network locked)..
Nokia N8 - 22k php (thats 312 gbp)
Htc Desire - 22,7k php (thats 322 gbp)
after 2 months.. which is at the present day..
Nokia N8 - 18k php (255 gbp)
Htc Desire - 21k php (298 gbp)
thats 57gbp difference in just two months for N8.
and 24 gbp difference for Desire.and thats drastic, if you ask me.. imagine its price 6months from now..
fairly cheap actually..for a non-network locked phones.. specially if u compare it to other countries.. Nokia phones here in the Philippines is really the phone of the masses. thats why they really are the fastest to depreciate amongst the mobile phones. and its been like that since Nokia 3210.. its the most publicly accepted mobile phone brand here..
Cheers! =)
