This phone is by faaarrr the most superior piece of technology i have ever seen.
The touch is incredible,colors and dsplay contrast outstanding,...it is wery fast and smooth,you can jump from here to there in no time...a lot of software and games for free on market....this phone is iphone killer...htc is on top of the hill now,and if you are searching for the best by phone,search no more,you will be happy with this beast:)

I heard htc Got purple issue like N8?right? may i know htc got fix this issue via firmware? Because nokia care they dont how to fixed reddish purple and brownies purple tint in N8 it suck... Even how many times replace it new amoled screen but it same result reedish,brownies,purple not fixed.... N8 is very disappointed flagship device, its 2x got firmware update PR 1.1 and PR 1.2 but this issue not fixed... So many nokia fans like disappoint, N8 is my last nokia phone, i dont trust nokia anymore.....

can change the complete ui of the
phone. I guess using launchers. So do
we have to root our phone to use that
feature or without rooting also we can
change the complete ui of the phone?

Fantastic phone this, now im getting to grips with it.Just one question, is there any way i can increase the font size when im in messages, phonebook etc.I was told to use the volume keys but that doesnt work. thanks in advance.

got the terrible boot loop problem....i think all desires have the same problem....i will change it for galaxy s.....its such a shame for a brand like htc....dont buy this phone ....a waist of money....u r playing angry birds and u r in the middle of level 11 and suddnly the phone gets off and reboots again and again....that is what happens in many desires ....go for galaxy s or xperia arc

Its an amaizing phone worth buying 25,000Rs is worth for this phone only the ram size should be increased to to 1GB then it would be smooth like butter....

Just finished watching couple of face off video reviews made by smartphone envy from youtube..where series of high end phones (apple ip4, samsung galaxy s, nokia n8) gets to battle head to head against htc desire.. and the videos made me love my desire evn more... t'was a grand slam for me...
Of course some of the features of the rival phones was a lil better than desire...
(Ip4- videos captured never lagged,
Galaxy s- display& screen size, and both have front facing cams..
N8- cam)
But in everything else desire really made a sweep against those phones.. specially the face off against n8... man.. ur just nuts if u dare to compare froyo against symbian 3..
Cmon theres no point of comparison... symbians already in the museum, and i dont know why nokia(and most of the ppl here in the philippines) still sticking with symbian..
Well thats still a good point for htc desire will remain an unCommon phone here...
Wow.... is all i can say to desire...

don't over use it, most importantly don't use it for tethering (both usb and wifi)

I am missing this mobile dearly, i live in india and my friend got me one from uk after 3 months of normal usage it broke down, i took it to the htc service center and they said the it's due to the motherboard and it needs to be replaced and said it will cost me 75% of the mobile cost. and also mentioned that most of the desires got this problem. HTC has to do something with this, otherwise a great mobile.
