i tried this "battery trick" from some htc/android post: charge 8 hours, unplug then turn off, charge another hour, unplug then turn on, wait 2 mins then turn off again, charge another hour... been observing my usage, i've notice some increase in battery life.. hmmmm... still kinda skeptical i'll observe it more..

T-bag, 24 Feb 2011hey there, thanks for the updates man. just gotta ask you t... more@T-bag

The N8 isn't just a great camera. It also has 16GB of internal storage out of the box plus upto 32GB via SD card, not to mention USB on the go. It's HDMI port is superb for video playback through your HD TV.
I will admit that Symbian^3 has it's issues, particularly with it's dreadful web browser and no flash 10.1 support but that will all be amended with the next firmware update of PR 2.0 in the next month or two.
So it might be worth holding off and see what the reviewers say about Symbian after the upgrade.
A friend of mine has the Desire and I'm not impressed. It suffers from low internal storage, poor battery performance and it does lag from time to time.
If it is an Android device you want you may also like to consider the Galaxy S. I have one and can say it is pretty good in terms of overall performance, good quality bright screen, plenty of built in storage of either 8 or 16 GB with room for an SD card and a decent performing battery.
However, the Samsung does feel a bit on the cheap side when holding it in your hand due to the all plastic shell.

          All the best.

          Ray

Just wondering how you all cope/manage with the lack of memory for your apps?! Seeing as the majority can't be saved to SD cards?!

I've had my Desire since April last year and that is the ONLY issue I have is that I've got hardly any apps saved due to the memory problem! Any thoughts or help on the matter?!

htc desire, week 1: everything good, i've tinkered with the camera this weekend, i'm just a point and shoot guy so i just keep all settings as default, i'll be honest the pictures i got are hit and miss, again i'm not into photography, about 30% of my shots were kinda blurry, but the rest were fine, people said it was good quality actually.. 720p videos were flickery, but setting the ISO to 800 kinda fixed it, i read that from some android post, the led flash is a big plus for dark conditions!.. calls are good, no hiss, all clear from my end and the ones i call.. for the audio, instead of buying a sennheiser i just settled for philips in-ear plugs, it had a case and it sounded good anyway, it was punchy and had ample bass.. battery sofar is 14-17hours heavy usage, downloaded advanced task killers but uninstalled it after a day, absolutely useless in my opinion, i settled for the battery doctor app.. so again, sofar so good

I think U go for desire ... because according to updation of softwares 720p recording may do a better performance .. and it also have flash which is much much better than samsung I9003 Galaxy SL .. and nokia c7 ..! i also don't like it bcz of symbian3 ..

i'm also buying desire in few dayz .. hope it will better.

My HTC desire mobile has poor battery performance. It works for 4-5 hrs after fully re-charge. I recently downloaded battery saving software Juice defender (from market) to save the same, unfortunately is not supporting much. please suggest me.

                                  thanks,
