Battery update: left home 5am, played audio with mixzing player, bass and treble boost setting, made around a hundred txt messages, two few second calls, another hour of audio, got home, browsed sites, video stream (no lags!!!), writing this post at this actual smartphone, battery almost out, its almost 7pm, so approximately its 12hours of use

So am I correct in thinking that after the 2.3 Gingerbread update the Desire will be eligable for the Playstation Suite ?

sunny, 20 Feb 2011I am facing the same problem deciding between smartphones..... morego for htc desire...symbain is an ancient os and android will surely get you excited...and the internal memory problem which you quoted will resolve just by updating to 2.2 froyo..then you can install apps in memory card also

Hello,
I am unable to choose between Desire and Nokia C7. I heard innumerable complaints that Desire has problem with its call quality on speaker and also sometimes internal speaker with breaking sound and distortion. If so, I don't want to shell 22k on a phone which doesn't even do its primary duty of phone calls.
Please give honest suggestion. I am planning to buy any one tomorrow. Which is better?

after many months of research i finally have my very fisrt smartphone! of course its the desire, prices have gone down (not that much though) and it's froyo and 720p video recording ready.. i bought this last night, got it charged while checking stuff, android is addictive! my first time! first impressions? screen is good, i prefer super lcd over amoled, browsing is faster than my desktop!, interface is easy to use, audio is nice but i had to download mixzing at the android market so i have an equalizer now.. well still checking the battery performance.. i'll keep you all posted, see yah!

I am in love with nokia c7, though nokia n8 is within my price range of buying also!but I really don't care about the camera...I just want more space for applications and stuff and I am confused between htc desire's internal memory issue and nokia symbian unpopularity.
I previously owned samsung innov8, so I have minute information on the smartphones,can you suggest which is the best!!help.
by the way, I would have really opted for samsung galaxy s2, but it's price range doesnt allow :D

Hi All,
My HTC desire was working perfectly fine just a week ago, but from the last one week I am unable to capture any pictures, using the camera. There is a sim or card like sign (with exclamation on the top left side of the screen, I am wondering does it has something to do with the SD card, Kindly help

WOW !!! The Desire's WIFI Hotspot is a God send for me at the moment. (Just started using it now).
I can tether my Desire to my laptop without the need for any wires and use it as a mobile 3G hotspot.(So you can have more than one Laptop/PC connected and using it's internet connection.
This is very usefull if you have no WIFI available.
I am using my Vodafone Pay as you Go with the £10 a month Web top up ;)

Best phone ever, I have used iPhone 4 and Galaxy S before, but this is the King , try it
