bottom line... no android 2.2 for xperia atleast this year as said by SONY. so if you want a phone with no flash support and dummy multitouch input
, good User interface then go for sony.. if you need future updates go for HTC .

I brought this phone on 11th feb 2011, everything.. works fine except.. adhoc wifi, battery sucks....

By default, all applications on the handset is installed on the phone memory. An application can only be moved to the micro SD card if it was designed by the developer to have that function.
To install applications to the micro SD card, please press MENU on the home screen > Settings > Applications > Manage applications > Tap on the application that you want to install on the micro SD card > Move to SD card.
NOTE 1: If the Move to SD card option is grayed out, this means that the application does not have the capability to be installed on the micro SD card. Please contact the developer for support details.
Note 2: You will not be able to use the applications on the SD card if the handset is on Disk drive mode connected to a computer.

Task Killers actually cause more battery to be used as next time you open the app it has to be reloaded into memory.
Android can take care of it's own memory and app control.
Google it and you will see why Task Killers are a bad idea.

i got my desire for about 5 months and now its at the service center. im loving it and dont complain about the batt life coz i know i use it all the time. but when i upgraded my phone it started to have problems, it hangs after calling someone and it gets hot while charging. when i sent it to the srvice center the tech told me to better sell it since it hangs all the time and it will give me prob later and they say that my phone is not charging properly since i bought it in Singapore I need to send it there for service and now waiting for my mom to comeback so i can try it... i Love my desire but what to do... huhuhuhu

rk, 15 Feb 2011for those having poor battery life problems get the android... moretrue. i've been using it since day 1 and now, my bat can last up to 2 and 1/2 day of texting and some surfing :)

hi all htc desire fans !!
there is a free app called quick system info in android market.
get it and set some ignore tasks and make sure that u have enof memory to run all apps.. it will for sure increase ur battery life....
it rocks in my cell phone !!
go ahead n try it. I usually get a battery life of 1.5 to 2 days.. i love my desire !!

Buy 3000 mah battery from ebay at Rs 1350 Believe me it will give you two days backup on heavy usage
