It's a great phone. I love it. But it hangs a lot. Seriously too slow. It's got great features but low performance. Moreover, you can't do anything while you are calling. In other phones you can minimise calls and run other apps while talking. Also, sometimes, when the phone turns off due to low battery, when I charge it, and turn it on during charging, then unplug the charger, still the phone shows charging. Weird!!!

Dear Readers
This mobile worked fantastic for the first 3 months. There after terrible problems with the device and its accessories too. In 10 months it has been to the services center thrice and four time the data cable and hands-free has bee replaced. HTC has the worst services and major of the cities has only collection centers. Nearly 45 days I have been without mobile. Go of a China made rater going to HTC

I have HTC Desire 501 Dual SIM 16GB Hand set, Buy in March 2014, its Mother board & Headset Slot changed by the Service Center But the problems not shorted out, Its showing Charging without any charger connectivity, Hang many Times, Some times Numbers/words automatically changed to unreadable font like coding language, and also facing many other problems which I'm not remember this time, I already told to HTC Customer care to replace the Handset but they not ready to replace.

There no update to this phone we need update plzz any one tell how to update there is no update from server and my phone strucks while playing games and even it hangs and switchs off I bought it 5months ago and now I can't use this desire 501 anymore plz anyone rpy me about update and how to avoid strucking while playing games

I have noticed that it takes two minutes per percentage point for battery to be fully charged. For example, if your battery is at 60%, i.e. 40% remaining, it will take 80 minutes to charge to 100%.
