very nice phone. I have had the pleasure to purchase this at an incredibly low price of around $200USD. The size is not huge, like some of the mega phones out there, it still fits into my pocket fine. The back cover is soft touch plastic, feels nice.
The resolution of the screen on paper is a bit lower compared to other phones, but at 4.5 inches, it makes no difference.

I just got this phone on cyber monday for 179$ on virgin mobile it is great! Got it over Moto G I already had a galaxy s! Bought it in 2011 when Galaxy S2 came so on monday I felt like I should upgrade to this model as the contract of that phone ended 3-4 months ago I needed a new phone cuz my GS1 lagged sometimes on the rom android 4.3 but that was quiet rare but I felt like I had to upgrade so bought this! So far no issues an amazing piece of technology :) a lot better then Moto G in my opinion the speakers are great everything works flawlessly :) am glad bought this phone.

The advantage however of Li-Polymer batteries is that they can be made much thinner. And it is a advance technology than Lithium-Ion.. (from gsmarena glossary)

I think I have found the reason why the battery of this phone last so long. It's a 2100 mah Li-Po battery, most phones have Li-ion battery. I've read that Li-Po offer 20% higher energy density than Li-ion. So you could compare this HTC Li-Po battery with a 2500mah Li-Ion and when you consider that it's just a 4.5 qhd screen, that's why the battery life is superb.

This phone is great! I have never experienced such long lasting battery life on ANY smartphone, and I had a lot of phones from high end to mid end. I think it's because of the specs that aren't high end of course. When you have 1080p HD screen with Snapdragen 800 processor, the battery will not last long. Oh, the battery of the Desire 601 is removable and also you get sd card slot. The lesser specs are only on paper, cause I've never experienced any lag and Sense 5 is so beautiful and works fluidly. The Boomsound speakers are simply amazing, watching Youtube clips and listening to TuneIn are so much fun now. The camera is very nice, with low light indoor it still produces enough light without having to use flash. I am not someone who works at HTC and I didn't get money to write this. I'm just someone who is very happy with his new phone that's all.

AnonD-119821, 24 Nov 2013Yes you can HTC has their own app transfer thing downloadab... moreI believe ToonToon was asking if you can install apps on and run apps from tan optional micro-SD card on this phone. In my current phone, under "Manage apps" there is a "Move to SD card" button available for apps that don't have to run in the background. The HTC Desire 601 manual does not specify if the phone allows this or if only files and media can be stored on the SD card. My phone shows downloaded Spotify songs as part of the app, so I believe this phone would not have enough storage unless I could run Spotify from the SD card.

I've read some posts of people comparing the Desire 601 with Sony Xperia SP. I would never buy an SP cause I've read a lot of complaints on more forums about the Wifi range of the Sony device.

The Desire 601 is a fantastic phone for the price!
