After factory reset is completed,reinsert the sd card and format it in menu>storage>format sd vard
And all your problems will be solved.

I have this phone for over 5 months now and still very very happy with it. A month ago I received the Kitkat and Sense 5.5 update, and the phone is even more user friendly and intuitive and the interface looks even cleaner. One small thing, the battery life was worse after the update, but after a factory reset it was all good again. Best mid-range phone ever!

A few days ago I updated my HTC desire 601 and after that I have problems with sound. When I am listening to the music the volume is at half as before. But my sister has the same phone and she don't have any problems after update. Is anyone having the same problems as me?

htc601, 22 Apr 2014Settigs->Backup&Reset->Backup my data->OFF fix... moreCONFIRMED, I did it too and helps. But sometimes you need to go there again and turn it off again, even when it's turned off.

I'm using desire 601 n after some tym conference call is not working..when one call is coming den I can't receive another at a tym...:'( even I can't take it on hold mode..plz help me

I upgraded my desire 601 to 4.4.2 and I am very dissatisfied. I now have 3 major problems:
1. The ring/music volume is about half of what it used to be
2. I have to select dataroaming even when I am not roaming otherwise I am unable to use mobile data. This already caused me high cost while travelling to the UK because I forgot to deselect dataroaming.
3. Enabling WIFI sometimes hangs, WIFI does not get enabled (I continue to see the spinning wheel) , the phone itself does not hang but I ave to restart it in order to be able to enable WIFI

ananth , 13 Apr 2014how is camera,music,display clarity. please. For music use equalizer and a good pair of headphones, AKG, Sennheiser, Koss.. Or whatever You prefer. Display is possible to use for calling and answering in direct sun, however for any other type of use is better to find a shadow.. Or wait for a phone with e-ink display. For normal circumstances the display is fairly good. Well, full HD is better, but honestly, in everyday use I can find SOOOOO big difference. Texts are readable good enough. Camera.. Well.. Once again - this is phone!! What you all want from sensor, that is smaller than mouses ehm... genitals.. and overflooded with megagigaultrapixels. It is good enough. If you are a fashion photographer or sports journalist, camera is very bad. If you are a common "masterpiecer", who takes pictures of cats, flowers etc, camera is good enough.

First - After update to KitKat battery life is better. Not much, but better. Speaker volume is the same.. What am I doing wrong? :D
Battery last 3,5 days, if only calling/SMSing, if some Wifi, drains faster, if hard Wifi (with option turn off wifi when screen is off) about two days. GPS/data plan internet... Good bye battery in a few hours. Games - the same thing.
Conclusion - This is a phone first. Wanna play games, buy gameboy or whatsoever.
Pictures are a little worse than with my Sony soapbox camera.. Want good ones? Buy Hasselblad, or just learn something about photography. Hasselblad don't have "Masterpiece" button either.
After near a half year of use- still recommend this one.

This phone has a terrible battery life, I would never recommend this phone to anyone. Useless peice of shit-crap.
