The features may be quite good... But 616 is cheaper and really compact and cool.. My friend is using 616 and I find his fone much better. 816 beats 616 in every feature but the size of the fone is the only con I found in 816..

I have been using HTC desire 616 for about a week now. The day I bought the phone, I realised that the mouthpiece was not working clearly and the person on the other end of the call could not hear anything. The dealer also agreed and replaced the white model I had with a black/grey one. I have used it extensively for last week and I compared it mostly to Sony Xperia C, which I have been using.
Pros:
Good screen quality
Very Good (if not excellent) cameras – rear and front. There are a few good settings for the camera. Photos taken using front camera are good if in good light, otherwise a bit grainy. The rear camera takes good pics, but the focus seems a little off sometimes.
Phone is light, quite sleek to use. It looks good, compared to many other mobiles
Phone has had no heating issues or lags so far, in games or using any apps.
Network reception and signal availability has been good so far.
Cons:
There is no Android Kitkat and the phone runs on 4.2.2. I saw many reviews saying sense 5.5 to be there, but most of the things feel like stock android. HTC blinkfeed is present.
Battery lasts a full day, but needs to be charged by the end of the day, even on 2G network. 2000 maH battery seems to be low for a phone of this size and screen.
Not sure whether the screen is gorilla glass or scratch resistant, have to use with caution.
The screen and back panel needs to be cleaned all the time, as both are fingerprint magnets, attracting lot of smudges
Sound coming out of single rear speaker seems to be low for my liking
The proximity sensor above the screen is not working, not sure if it is an issue with my phone or it is absent in the phone. I had an issue of turning the phone to airplane mode and cutting a call, as my cheek touched the screen and selected settings and airplane mode.
