      Hi, I am also a victim of the free flip cover, it created a scratch on my phone as well. Not sure how come HTC passed it to be sold with the phone. I bought a rubberized back cover from ebay for Rs.280/- its good and doesnt steal the looks of the phone.
      Now to all those who are criticizing the phone, lemme tell you, I have been using this phone for almost a month now, there is no issue at all. Its lightning fast, decent battery life, Play store works without any problems. Not sure about Note 3 or S3 Neo, but this phone is 10 times better than Grand 2.
      So if your budget is around 25k, go for it with closed eyes:-)

        Today bought Veegee scratch guard for htc desire 816..and I must say its awesome,anti fingeprint,anti glare matte finish...
        free flipcover is the culprit which made a small scratch in rear part of my device..there is a support kind of thing near camera part of flipcover which did that guurrrrr..
        can anyone suggest me the good back cover which can help to reveal the beauty of this handset,,in flipcover this phone looks like any other micromax phone so.. i was thinking to buy a good back cover...
        suggestion guys and only from HTC desire elite owners :-)

            If u are a heavy user battery lasts around 9to 10 hours.And if u use moderately battery will last around 1and half days.
            The internal memory is a bit less only 4 gb is left.so i have inatalled real racing3 fifa14 subwaysurfer clash of clan
            Skype whatsapp viber messenger templerun2 talking tom and few more apps and now i have 1.37gb of internal left also i have moved some apps to ext sd.
            So its up to u if u can manage within 4gb you can go.

                  Really people who are commenting bad about this phone are mentally sick.I am using this phone for 17 days so far really spend excellent days with the device only lack i feel is 8gb internal storage.My elder brother has note 3 and one max.Conparing to these my one is not the best but really good within the price.I previously owned galaxy s3 never felt premium with s3 but desire 816 awesome.The 3g speed superfast and the best thing doesnt lag like samsung mobiles.So Samsung lovers stop stating fake things about the device.

                    does this phone really having any prblm?? some are telling play store nt working?nt even battery backup fr a whole day?....etc....

                    im a moderate user...and i wont play games as heavier.....pls suggest me.....but i need a gud battery backup fr 1 and half days.....i like this phone cz of its camera quality,....nd pls confrm whether its dual stand by??? coz it is not mentioned in our gsm arena.....

                    i need a quick reply from the friends who are currently using it.

                      1> What about the Play store, its struck or its just rumors that it is not working at most of the cell.

                      2> How was the battery life..

                      3> User memory will get the 4gigs whether it will be fine or gammers need to crunch their interest.

                      Only HTC 816 User have to be replay rather any other company representative..Opps:):)

                        many people are not satisfied with this phone because of its play store.
                        play store not working at all in many mobile the shopkeeper told me. that's wy they are not selling this mobile now till the problem solvs.

                          Are you blind/drunk??? The guy asked to compare it with Galaxy S3 NEO, and you go on writing that Desire 816 is far better than Note 3 NEO!!!

                          There is no comparision between this SUPER-HYPED, low cost phone and PREMIUM Note3 NEO.

                          I had almost bought desire 816 because of the hype, but thanks to low supply, i got pissed off and increased my budget to buy NOTE3 NEO. Now i am too glad that i didn't buy desire 816. I don't hate it, but it is not worth the hype and price. It should be easily available for 20000 as on today!!!

                          Only 13 MP camera and boomsound doesn't make it worth 24000. Note3 NEO has got TONS of features and advantages compared to desire 816!!!

                                      Guys, please HELP ME:

                                      I am a big fan of Android and looks to buy a new phone. Recently, I got hands on MotoX but it gets heated (up to 48'C) very much and I had to return it.

                                      Kindly suggest if I should buy HTC 816 or not. I am going to use these on it:
                                      1. 3G Internet for 3-4 hours, like for using Google Now, Voice recognition, etc.
                                      2. Music for 4-5 hours a day or more.
                                      3. Games like Real Racing 3, Temple Run 2, etc.

                                      I have some specific questions:
                                      1. Normal-use-time temperature
                                      2. Standby temperature
                                      3. Game-time temperature
                                      4. 3G-use-time temperature
                                      5. Does it lag?
                                      6. Average battery life?

                                      Looking forward for your response.
                                      I am really waiting for it.

                                      Please answer and help me for deciding my new phone.

                                        Definately baseless questions again & again. Mainly whether can use GSM+GSM or 3G or which one to select ? one should read previous comments before asking new question !
