We can make the SD card as internal....applications download from Google Play Store can be moved completely to SD storage.. music,video's and images can be moved to SD card....before updating to marshmallow I rebooted my phone...after update I got approximately 2.5GB space

I hv updated to marshmallow.
I hv made format to internal my sd card.
The problem is it is just a show off thing.
Just showing that my internal memory is combined but actually apps will only be stored in phone.
Nd d shit of low memory remains same.
Nd after format u cannot add media to your sd.... Shity update it is

hi everyone a news to u all plz do not format mobile if u do then u will lose ur network connection you will keep facing network problem so request not to do im facing the same i called up htc service center they informed me to visit to nearest htc service center and u have to be repaired its internal problem u will be charged for it

But i update all app. It will be again full internal 8 gb storage. And show is notification bar insufficient storage. I thinking external now convert to internal so i install lots of app. But its problem are same like previous..😢

Scroll down
Select option format to internal memory
Note: before doing this copy all stuff from ur sd card to pc as a backup
Then ur card wil get formated.
And there you go
It maight take some time

guys i finally updated my fone{desire 816 india} to marshmallow.
this is a perfect update
perfomance boosted a lot
no lag so far
battery backup has a stellar boost means battery backup has increased a lot.
volume of speaker and ring tone has increased
also u have the option now to make external storage to integrate with ur internal storage.
means ur internal is 4 gb and have a sd card of 16 gb then it will show 20gb approx internal space.
yes it can be used to install games as well
important thing is u have to take the fastest card possible for lesser heat as external cards are inferior to internal memory
and second thing u wont b able to remove that card as it is part of internal now.
although u can switch it back to portable one
but for both u have to format the card so backup card first on your pc.
