Terrible phone. Had for 6 months and continuously crashes and uses ridiculous amount of charge when doing so. Almost unusable

I also getting the same error initially . It happens only because of slow network connection.Download it with fastest net.It will works .
Even if you are not able to update means,Go to your nearest HTC service center.There you update it.

mola, 11 May 2016Software update corrupted any one help me pleasePlease update using OTA and the update feature which is in the phone settings.Use Wifi and always make abackup of your contacts videos and photos. Do not worry about the corrupt. Always reboot the phone after the updates.

Good news MM has arrived. Please always make a backup of your videos and photos contacts etc before you embark on the update spree. Update using OTA with WiFi. Fastest and safest too.Cheers.

Updated to marshmallow (6.0.1) yesterday, 09 May, 2016. Till now every thing is fine, though sense home crashes some times.
No major changes for HTC users, as the most of the features in android 6.0.1 seems to be copied from HTC which were htc users were using for a long time.
Inclusion of SD card in Internal memory is good feature though.
