The battery is very poor,now its draining by 6 hrs of usage.Please let me know how to update the battery.

HTC says "nobody makes Android better then hTC" and trust me they say 100% correct. I hv used Samsung Galaxy S i9000, Motorola Droid, but trust me hTC excels in all aspects of Android. I wont say hTC is better then iPhone4 but its not even lesser then iPhone4.
The problem i hv faced (sure all other users too) is worst battey life & sunlight display. I used lots of data & application, e.g. 4 emails, Facebook, Browsing & battery drains like a hell, i hv to connect charger all the time also very poor sunlight display, cannot see anything outdoors.
Otherwise superb device amongst all Android support devices and if someone really wants to enjoy Android, must go for hTC Desire HD.

This is the best phone I have ever had since I started using mobile phones in 1996. I've been using mostly Nokia phones and some Sony Ericssons. I spend about two weeks learning everything about a phone before I make a purchase so I know which is best. HTC Desire HD surpassed all my expectations. I will upgrade in three years and I hope HTC comes up with a more powerful and cooler phone by then and I know they will. I will be an HTC user for life!

i have been using my phone for 3 weeks now. and just yesterday there was an update for my phone.i accepted the update and then the weather information in the front screen stoped functioning and a message comes like this.(the connection dropped while your weather information was downloading.try downloading again)please what do i do?

one question for every one here,does anybody rooted his desire hd?i tried with visionary but not worked and i had,to reset my phone.i know the stock rom is great,and htc is also providing update(mine is 2.2.1),but still i cnttake screenshots..so any suggestion?

WOW guys...
The model of camera sensor that DHD use it's the OmniVision ov8810 8MP. I found the official description of this sensor and you can find it here :
http://www.ovt.com/products/sensor.php?id=61#specifications.
From the Product Specifications you can see that the sensor can take video at 1080p and 720p 60fps :D
So I assumed that we have the hardware but we miss the software.
Hopefully i am right :)

Excellent Device........more than 100 applications installed and i have 890 MB free (coooooooooool) also, no hanging and working fast...
Great HTC Device,,,, now waiting for Gingerbread

Have used the phone for 2 weeks now.
the 'gallery' software is slow that it takes like 5-10 seconds to show the next picture.
battery dies quick too.
camera quality is like it is 3.2 or 5 mega pixels which is actually 8 mega pixels.
not a bad phone over all but these are few things that are negative about HTC DESIRE HD.

I bought HTC desire hd last month. It's simply awesome......
the large display, smooth touch, sound & video quality, social networking, email & so on.........all r awesome....
It's worth every penny spent........***** rated.....
