I bought my DHD in December and have had time to explore it. I was quite hopeful and excited about this phone but I have to say that I am disappointed. My reasons are: (1) HTC sense location does not work and HTC can't fix it (2) Battery life is woeful. I have had to turn off many features to get some half decent usage (3) Htc sync does not work either (4) Android OS is very flakey and unstable, (5) Applications run in the background without your knowledge thereby draining your battery (6) Even when AAK is used to kill running apps, they start running again after a short while. This is something I find really unacceptable. However, I like the good range of apps available. Some of them are real life savers. All said, Android needs to improve dramatically before I can buy any of the devices running it again. I hope Nokia comes up with good WP7 devices.

The Gingerbread is a family of Android OS. it will bring a lot of enhancement & smooth using to the phones + it will have some new features.
Also, the battery durability will be better than Froyo.
we all are waiting for this moment....

Hi I bought one of these in past week and it really worked nice but the active sync on Andriod does not work well. I returned it after a couple of days due to this lack of (in my mind) basic functionality for corporate user. I have also tried similar 2.2 devices from Dell, HTC and Samsung with similar results. I just cannot understand why Google cannot spend a little effort to get this right. This is one thing Apple did well and the Iphone does a good job at this.
