I got my HTC Desire HD a couple of weeks ago now and it is fantastic. I had an iPhone second edition previously and was going to get the iPhone 4 but then I saw the reviews on this phone. All the apps I loved I have been able to get on the itunes equivalent Market Place, the camera is so much better at 8mgp and you can shoot videos and do video calls.
This phone is as good as an iPhone and maybe with the.better camera, actually better.

Constantine, 10 Jan 2011any body knows about the ROM ? Enough for installing bunch... more1.5GB ram, I have installed many (40 apps) and still have 800MB left, not bad, also app can be moved to SD card, so almost unlimited app can be installed (well 500 atleast with 32GB sd card).

I have this phone, very good all rounder, maybe little big for some, i dont mind the size, the battery is the worst thing about the phone.
looks great, preforms great, just need tomtom on android and we have a killer OS with great range of phones... a phone for everyone

I think Brown looks much better than Black.IMO Black is too common for a phone.My little review:-
Pros:----
Great build quality(one of the best).
Good camera quality with powerful flash.
Really nice & big Screen(but no match to SGS[my previous phone])
Really fast processing(No lags at all compared to SGS)
HTC Sense UI is a good Add-on with Android
Cons:----
Battery is not satisfying at all(Lasts only a day)
Loud speaker is not so powerful(Not that i mind it too much but it shud've been a bit louder)
HTC shud've provided atleast 8gb of internal memory.
Overall my rating is 8.5 for Desire HD & 8.0 for SGS.
A perfect(not that i mean it) phone for me would be
4.5 inch high resolution display
2000 mAh battery(atleast lasts a day with very heavy use)
8 MP camera
32gb internal memory
1gb RAM
1.2 Ghz processor
Samsung Infuse and Motorola Atrix comes very close to that.

Anonymous, 07 Jan 2011I have an HTC Desire (original, not HD) that had the repeat... morewait a few months and buy motorola atrix... its the best of the best... i have DHD and NO i have not experienced any reboot issues at all been using 2 months now..

Bought it yesterday for RS 26500(with warranty) in Delhi,it was Rs 23500 for the unbilled(without warranty) one. Brilliant phone though.

LeatherFace, 10 Jan 2011U can rotate home screen to landscape mode by using launche... morethis is a good idea. however, what i was pointing out is that it wouldn't do it using the accelerometer sensor out of the box. perhaps the program that your using has a switch or something but I hope there is a way that the home screen will go landscape out of the box when tilted.

plz suggest me a good phone my budjet is around 27-28 thousand n my needs are good screen,music quality,divx/xvid playability,android,big screen,good battery life, less hanging prbs,and last but not the least atleast 8 gb inbuilt memory..pls suggest..should i buy htc dhd,galaxy s or should i wait for new phones coming in mwc 2011?? also heard that the price of the android phones will decrease this year??

Run it down to 10%, recharge for 16 hours, run it back down to 15/10% recharge for 16 hours. Should sort the issue out. Worked just fine on mine.

i have used for 24 hours , currently using Milestone(Motorola), this is my desired product. i like the screen resolutioter only...a big one ...fast 2.2 version...but big dissapointment is SOUND. Not bad d but not loudone. But it is still not available in Ludhiana(punjab). Price is resonable i.e 27000/
should i go for it or not ?? is Galaxy s is better option ? kindly suggest me
