received my new Machine but need these questions answered please:
1 . Have been downloading tones of programs but how do i know whether they
saved to memory card or phone memory . I need all to be in memory card .
2 . I am using HTC SYNC 3 .0 but though have selected bookmarks to sync with
explorer , the bookmarks do not show in my desire.
3 . I have my email accounts in my new phone but cannot see my folders in
yahoo and hotmail as they are .

I'm sick and tired of reading re complaining about this phone.
As I made mention to my previous posting (if you happen to read them) there's no such a perfect phone there's always the pros and the cons.
If and when there will be a perfect phone in the market without anything to complain about I am sure it is going to be an expensive phone.
Come to think of it the mobile phones are designed to use to call and send sms. Taking pictures and videos are all extra features. If you want a quality picture taken then use your digital camera and if you need to hear a good quality music then use your ipod. Simple as it is.
Think about this ... back in the early 80's where mobile phones were all designed as bricks no camera and video cameras but then again the people using at that time were all happy and contented.
At this modern age it is very hard to catch up with the modern technologies. Mobile phones in the market are updating regardless what brand it is every 3-6 mths.
Be happy and contented of what you have. As long you can ring from a-z and send messages I guess that's the main factors that you will have to be concern of.
This phone is not perfect and nothing is perfect after all but it does my work and I'm totally happy with it.

any one could compare about advantages and disadvantages of htc desire hd with iphone4 base on your using experiences?

switched to desire HD from galaxy s.
very content of galaxy, one 2 minuses:
1. lack of front camera
2. lack of a 'meachanic' menu button (to unlock, have to push power button on top, not always very comfortable.
and a minus and a plus in the same time:
the fact the the battery and the sim+memory card are in different locations is a big plus. still, it is a minus the fact that both compartments are very difficult to open (so if you need to change sim often, think again. more, when battery cover is opened, the phone turns off automatically (the battery 'jumps' from its place).
otherwise, only good things to tell about it (not sure about the quality of photos - although an 8MB camera is onboard, there is no stability for it)

You paid $100 extra for an iphone? non responsive? snapdragon 1gb processor and 1/3 more processing power on this phone. Enjoy the iphone :)

No doubt its a good SMRT Ph......But has some issues while accesing the contacts......is anyone aware of that....

I take out a original baterry from the phone, put in one hand and another one(non original) in another hand, and I want to say original is more heavy... I don`t now, on non original baterry no name, no brand.. I don`t trusted, I dont want to harm my device(coz is not cheaper). At the moment I`m happy with my batery, 2 days normal use(with live wallpaper). I hope in the future HTC will do powerful baterry for DHD. My answer is: do not use cheaper baterry!!!! HAVE A GREAT DAY (sorry for my English)
