SE 2010, 17 Sep 2010 Guys I was really thinking of this brilliant phone and co... moreDude those specs on the SEx12 are just a rumor. And probably some of them like 1.5 ghz CPU and the fullHD res wont be true. Plus that phone is still a generation away and will probably launch next year. It ll compete with phones like iphone 5 or the HTC whatever they decide to name it. These days a phone becomes old and its specs get outdated in 7 or 8 months.

no information about the storage memory? i9000 include 8/16Gb, but Desize HD is a secret...!

Stop moaning about the battery. Just open your eyes and do some research. Extended batteries are availble for all smart phones even the iphones. In the case of this one, just buy the 2300 mah battery or the 3200 mah battery. Both are extended batteries not sold with the phone for financial reasons. They will last up to three days before you need to charge them again. This is with regular or intensive usage. Check them in google and youtube search. They work, are real and solve the solution. Yes, they maybe a little on the large side but who cares. I may get this or the normal Desire with an extended battery of coarse. They don't cost too much either. Spread the news and tell others.

I know dude but if its only 2 to 3 month I don't think it's very far. So the X12 will still have stunning features. But of course if it's going to take 6 month this will be an issue.

Why not wait 1 year or maybe two? by tat time the processor could even make it to 5 Ghz.

Guys I was really thinking of this brilliant phone and considering it but then I though about the coming SE X12 which will have:
1- andriod Froyo
2- 12 mp camera
3- HD recording
4- Amoled screen
5- 720 * 1080 full HD resolution
6- 1.5 Ghz CPU
so over all the specs beats the desire HD, moreover the se handset will look more stylish for sure with better battery. So please tell me what do you think? Am I making sense or not? Just wanted to share with you my thoughts and also hear your thoughts.

Does anyone know if New Zealand will be getting the Desire range?
Just contacted Vodafone - they didn't know

Still 480 x 800! And no 850 MHz band for 3G! Sorry but I'll keep my iphone4 for now....

im a die hard fan of HTC. m currently using HTC HD2 and HTC Desire. have been waiting for this and finally it is here. Hope to see it soon in australia.

Without the iPhone there would be no HTC Desire and no Samsung Galaxy S. Everything you see on a touch interface smartphone started from from the iPhone.
Even Bill Gates himself said the one thing he wished he had thought of was the iPhone.

HTC music player sucks. The most used feature of smartphone is internet and music, Android internet as good as iphone but music player of htc sucks

HTC's sense UI and the Android OS are great. But how can anyone say this thing looks awesome.
This thing is so ugly compared to the regular Desire. Whats with the black square patchwork all over the back? Surely they could of made it look nicer. I was hoping they would keep the look of the Desire but bump up the specs.
In terms of user interface and OS its as good as the iPhone. But in terms of looks iPhone 4 totally destroys this phone completely, no contest.

With battery 1230 mAh ,this beast will be a BRICK BRICK ,BRICK or STONE by EVENING .EVO 4G with with 1500 mAh wont last more than 9 to 10 hours on moderate use.My friends use to laugh at my HD2 with 1250mAh for twice charging in a day.
Slcd and new processor could hardly improve batt life by 1or 2 hours.total 8 to 9 hours of moderate use. After that it will be BRICK OR STONE. RUN RUN RUN FOR CHARGER.
Shame on HTC ,they did it purposely so that we all be compelled to buy their extended or additional batteries.
Htc =money sucker
Guys have CHARGER in one pocket and mobile in another.

Android does support video calling, however the hardware of the majority of Android based phones do not have a front facing Camera.

Looking at the pictures, there's a lil round thing on the the phone. Located on the top, could that be a front facing camera? I have a k800i, and the front facing camera looked like that

I used HTC HD2. HTC battery back up was pathetic, i use to charge mobile twice a day and Camera was average thou it was 5 MP camera.
I always prefer NOKIA for its hardware, battery backup and easy OS.
I am sure, if Nokia join with Android, Nokia will be back with bang in Smartphone race.
Any day NOKIA rocks.

Man, is anybody else tired of the same old "sense ui" crap?? I know I am!!!
