Love my Desire HD phone! Alas,now (after >2 years) it's 'empty battery', after hardly any use. Does it make sence to buy a new battery? And, if so, where can I find/order it? Thanx for any comment

MAKE SURE you read the effen manual included inside the package carefully. Many people stuck just because they are too lazy to read.

prince william, 25 Jan 2013Anyone who knows how to upgrade HTC DHD from Gingerbread to... morethe only one that you need is advanced ace hack kit. however, make sure that you really understand the effen manual and follow EXACTLY what the manual ask you to do. The rooting process can be tricky and you should carefully follow the manual. this is htc, it is not easy to root as samsung. but if you follow the effen manual carefully then dont worry, it SHOULD work..

Even with ARHD my battery life is almost guaranteed to run out within the day with little to medium use, though it was put through heavy use for about a year & a half. Apart from having an average battery for a big (at the time) phone, Desire HDs are just getting old now, there's only so much one can do to reserve battery life; screen brightness, volumes, volts & clock speeds.
As a side note, I found CM7 to be slightly better in most regards, I simply wanted the Sense UI & widgets back :P

UM, 19 Jan 2013This phone needs charging twice a day even if you are a mod... morenot at all. Well, actually it maybe true if it is stays in stock rom, or maybe your battery is just bad. But, for excellent battery live, try use ARHD or cfX custom ROM. ARHD has no bug, as it is created from stock rom while cfX has minimal bug but with tons of new features of JellyBean. I personally think that although this phone is an old model, but still it is great to be in the focus of many devs.. :)

This phone needs charging twice a day even if you are a moderate user...........Get a Sensation XE and you need to charge it just at night.....
