You will wipe the floor with Samsung Galaxy S and iPhone 4, because the new specifications give more performance and faster boot-up. You will boot-up the cell phone in only 2.0 seconds. You need between 20 to 40 seconds to boot-up an iPhone 4 or a Samsung Galaxy S. But people say that the Samsung Galaxy SII is the best cell phone in the market today... My DHD goes for 1024 MHz with a 16GB MicroSD scandisk ultra as memory card. 1 GB is taken by the system and 15 GB is left. DHD is better than the Samsung Galaxy SII to take som photos in darkness. How dis I know that? I have checked it up. You can figurate something, what you can't do with the Samsung Galaxy SII in the same darkness. You have to switch on more light to figurate that.

I bought it on february on contract .I still think that the battery is a big issue.i can say that overall is a good phone but the ones from htc could have designed a better case .....

Hi all friend, my name piseth. i just up date my phone to verson: 2.3.3 but later on when i connect headset to listen the radio it does not work.

DHD is a superb mobile phone but is not for kids or people with small hands. This review is biased and is emphasising small glitches comparing to how truely marvelous this device is. It can wipe the floor with samsung galaxy S and iphone 4 any day. Just root it and install android revolution HD rom and you are all set. Check xda forum for more info.
1.Screen quality is equal to sg s. Iphone 4 is better but is smaller. I prefer bigger screen over more pixels.
2.Battery is good. If you use it like a normal phone it would last up to 3 days. On Idle without any calls it can run up to 8 days. On heavy usage (screen non stop. watching movies. - 4-6 hours)
3.Battery/sim cover could be better but its not THAT bad. Anyway I very rarely open it and it locks tight enough.
4. Loudspeaker sound is not good when on maximum volume but it is sufficient for my needs. I like headphones you get with the package. Fits perfectly into my ears so I mostly use them when watching the movies.
5. It's perfect for car navigation. Big screen.
6. Camera is really fine. There is better around the block but It's not a con. it would be nice to have front facing camera tho. but as I remember skype is not using it so it's not that bad.
7. This phone in last 2 weeks has NEVER crashed.
Very fast and adjustable. You can tweak EVERYTHING!

this is biggest lol. I had those screens side by side and I can say this is rubbish. I can say maybe sg2 screen have tiny lil bit better color definition but you cant say it's superior. bigger screen is more important to me.

Yes just upgraded to gingerbread and rooted running on 1.6 wow that is fast its faster then sg2 wicked loving it

nish, 21 Jun 2011the data charges are to much what can be done?download an application called 3G watch dog,it keeps track off your data. u=you have to input how much data u have per month, for example, 500mb, then it will ask you ...PER... so you put number 1 in there which means 500mb per 1 month, then it will reset automatically everymonth, if you are going over your data, u can just turn your data off

Great phone but the quality sucks. After 7 months the earpiece (speaker at front) of my DHD is defective. Also the plastic caps for the battery and simcard at the back are not uncomplicated. They simply can get loose, fit not so good anymore when you release/replaced them a few times. You have to buy new ones: costs 50 euro for a set!
Next time i go for a Moto, Samsung or SE.

You need to get a text from your service provider to advises you to upgrade to 2.3 first...

hey guys can any1 help me out my DHD wifi s not working m not able to detect any wifi networks available even...
n even when i switch on my wifi da wifi symbol which shows whn phns wifi is switched on its nt seen on top:-(
bt whn i m sharing my phns net via wifi its working fyn n even da symbol s der...
bt its nt working whn i m trying to connect to any available wifi network...:(
