By now, i used 4 of these machines - they are and will be MY BEST CHOICE! Updated to official ICS 4.0.4, they work like a dream. To me, best fit for screen and HTC sense DOES make the difference!

I'm running Gingerbread on this phone which I don't have problems with it, the phone performance is unquestionable. This phone is brilliant in all aspects from 2011 till today. thank you HTC.

I am using it for 1 year some problem comes to me every time it always appear on d screen.. to restart your phone please hold power button for 3 sec...
please help....

I already using Desire S since Dec 2011. At the first 3 months, I already root this. For now, I'm using Desire XS custom ROM, plus flashing some Beta ver. of Butter Project via bootloader. Now I can say that my device was smooth and very powerful for my daily driver. Using email,phone,twitter, everything is runs great. Happy to say that this device is perfect value for my money. Thanks HTC :)

I've got my HTC desire S for two years already. It is still functioning fine but there are times when it overheats during conversations, or it actually gets unresponsive while trying to make a call or to answer it. So I need to restart it and it still takes a few minutes to get started and functioning well again. Except of these, I still love this phone as much as I did on the first day I got my hands on it.

i had taken HTC DESIRE s in feb 11 and with in a month the phone stated heated and it drain battery soon , later on HTC had given another phone to Me and till the time now it is good in condition ...

Had my Desire S for more than a year. It's running on ICS. Overall it's a very good phone. 9.5 out of 10. My only problem with it is the camera.

Mixed view abt this phone... after 6 months of usage the touch broke down.. finally had to get the screen replaced.. :( using ICS official update..lags alot.. slow.. takes ages to open up applications... when i took out the memory card, the phine got faster, even though i have an 8gb card that has 2gb free
i just got the screen changed, havent opened the phone yet..
funny thing is i stabbed the original screen( the corning gorilla glass, the one that had to come out) with all my might and anger bt it wouldnt break :P used a pointy edge knife :P fun really
OVer all the phone is just a medium... planning to buy galaxy GRAND now.. saving up afew bucks for it..
For low bugdet its not a bad phone.. go for it
