Last 2 months i used desire s.it is very pretty and sexiest phone.performance is good with 1ghz processor.graphics and display will be excellent.but, battery life is poor and hanging problem.not user friendly.

I have this phone since 2 years (bought already used).
I ran through GB and then ICS with a Developper RUU(HTC-Dev site) which was really buggy and now i'm on the custom ROM ViperSAGA with full sense 4+ (ported from HOX) since a year and the phone is ok not so fast but entirely usable everyday.
Unfortunately the battery only lasts 12 hours in low usage and 6 hours in full usage.
And really sad the segment of this phone don't exists anymore, there are no more phones which are Powerfull and Small !

My Htc desire s says it has 512mb ram. This website says it has 712mb ram. Hows it that so?

frendo go to htcdev.com for update and it dosen't need rooted phone its offical update ics 4.0 you can upgrade your cell from that website which i mention aboved...

While we know many customers are comfortable with their existing software, we also know others want the newest software available. For those of you who want that option, we're pleased to say that we'll be making ICS available for download on three devices: HTC Desire S, HTC Rhyme (global SKU) and HTC Incredible S. Even though we think the majority of customers will be happiest maintaining their current experience, we felt it was important to give you the choice. Once the downloads are available, they will be posted to our HTCdev website and links to the downloads will also be provided here.
