jinxed, 10 Aug 2011Cn any one suggest me, which phone to go for, i m really co... moreI would suggest you going for Desire S.
=>A friend owns a Nokia C7 and it crashes all the time.
=>Now as for the Nexus S, its a brilliant phone, but its so "plastic", i doubt if there's even a part on that phone made from metal.
=>In the other hand Desire S has the aluminium unibody which is GREAT. The battery life is great, just close bluetooth and wifi when you dont use it.
Ohhh, and you also can easily get the beautiful photo gallery of Nexus S as it's just an .apk file, nothing more.
Both cameras work like a charm and i've found no problem on using divx or any other video file. Plus the flash player is working great. You can download FlashPlayer 13 if you want from the android market for free.
I'm using this phone for quite a while and its perfect.
The only drawback is that it doesn't have the powerful screen of Nexus S but in every other way is far better than the other 2 mobile phones you listed.

The battery of the Desire S is great on standby i have to agree. But when i pick it up and use it consistently (ex. Internet, Video streaming, Messenger chatting) the battery only stands under 2 hours. Is this normal guys? Thanks for the feedback!

Just upgraded from a Blackberry to the HTC Desire S, and first impressions are what a phone. It's superb. Excellent camera, quick on the internet, and HTC Friendstream is brilliant.
Highly recommend.

hi to all,I am a P1i user for about 3 years, Now i have decided to use an android phone and i bought this DESIRE S, Ive been using it for about a month, and base on my experience, its a great phone,i will not go into all details coz this is not an in-depth review,i just want to say something to all the readers here in GSMARENA.COM, hope that this wud help people who wants /thinks of buying the phone.
1. So far There is no video call for this phone which is so disappointing because they indicated it to their review here at this link http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_desire_s-review-590.php
if someone knows how to do it please advise,Ur comment will be very much appreciated. Its one of the reason why i decided to buy this phone because I frequently used it. some pipol here said that i will be available upon the release of an update. hope this will be address soon.
2. about the death grip,so far,i didn't experience any loss of wifi signal due to landscape grip. sometimes the signal goes down to 2 bars but it didn't happen to me that the signal was loss.
3. Bluetooth connection, im listening to music using my nokia BH-503 headset, it connects so fast but the issue is that while you are walking and having the desire s in your pocket, the music sometimes skip/jump or shud i say (have u tried listening to a pirated cd?it jumps!i think for about a split second, its just like that) its a bit annoying.
4. Battery Life; its amazing, for a light / regular calls and texting, listening to music on my way to work and going home for about a couple of hours, i can use it for almost 2 days, 1day and 18hours an average depends on how many calls i received.
when im using it into gaming + my normal usage it last for about a day,THIS ISSUE DEPENDS ON HOW U USE UR PHONE,for me battery life is good.
Oveall, the phone is good AND it fits my lifestyle.
My decision of buying a NEW phone came from the answer to my questions...
WHAT PHONE
1. DO U LIKE AND U CAN AFFORD THAT WILL FIT TO MY NEEDS/ LIFESTYLE..
IT WILL BE A LONG CONVERSATION TO DEVATE WHICH PHONE IS GOOD AND WHICH IS NOT..

The replacement does the same. Take the battery out and return it and reboot. Do the same with the sim card. It will be ok for a while then start again. Ive had hell with this phone doin that
