Htc desire s don't have gorilla glass :/ and can be scratched very easily... :(

can any one help me about the below mentioned problem:
I m having a problem in ambient sensor of htc desire s after the software update to 1.48.707.1. the screen does not turn off when during call i touch the fone to my face and some time it just turn off and didnt get back after i move it back from my face.....plzzzz help???

which phone among these have good battery life in medium usage...HTC DESIRE S or LG OPTIMUS BLACK P970...help me guys

But it actually depends on ur usage style. if u r a heavy user den battery lasts for nearly 6 to 7 hrs. in normal use it lasts for a day. so totally depends on ur usage.
it would be very much nice if the battery lasts for more den 12hrs in heavy use.

AnonD-16058, 03 Aug 2011hello i just wants to ask to that i saw a video of igyaan ... moreI too was shocked after watching the igyaan video review before buying the handset. so I did some research and found that there's no problem at all regarding the paint. now I have been using desire s for more than two months and there's not even a single scratch on the paint. so u don't need to worry abt dis.

ONLY MAJOR 2 PROBLEMS: WIFI grip (lost every time 2 lines if you hold it in your hands, no matter the position) and NO 3G VIDEO CALL (without any third party) . If those 2 issues will be fixed via software update - and I think they can - it will make the PERFECT phone device. (Yo HTC - please read above!!!)

GPS reception/lock on is waste on this phone. It never gets GPS lock on. HTC service center issued a Dead-on-arrival certificate for my phone.

I just ordered my Desire S. Deeply dissapointed if no 3G video call !
I used Nokia 6630, Nokia 6680 and Nokia E51 for 3G video calls starting 2005 !
I ordered Desire S partially because of secondary video camera. I have never thought that HTC can put secondary video camera without 3G video call.

Which one to go for ? Desire S or Incredible S. Mainly for Internet Browsing, Music and Apps. Also which one is better in terms of battery life as most Android phones are very power consuming.

pang.bro, 01 Aug 2011yes. its support video call / vga secondary camera.I don.t think it supports 3G video call without a third party application. It does not have a native 3G Video call optinon, only thru another applications. And that's really low for Desire S in the age of 3G. On old devices and old SO this is native. On NEW, Improved, Android LE, HTC Smartphone this lacks. HELLOOO HTC !!! copy/paste some options here !
