I have a problem with my Desire S. Once or twice a day suddenly restart , it shut down and did not work, I had to take off the battery to turn on otherwise the key for turn on does not want to get started. Please help. P.S. sorry for my bad english

my desire s suddenly restart but indeed of restart, it shut down and did not turn on back. I try to recharge the phone ( even the battery life is about 40% ) using both usb and plug charger but the light indicator did not turn on ( it suppose to be orange/green right? ). Already try to pull out the battery and yet it still cannot turn on. Just bought the phone about 1 month and now facing this problem. Help please?

video calling via 3g carrier directly?

hi dudes!! got my htc desire s as a gift for my birthday that was a month ago, and i am satisfied with its performance, i have used its 3g and wifi and its so fast to react. i have compared des s to other cp's but it stands out. battery life is the real issue. a day or 2 then you got to recharge. generally, its a good starter smartphone. thanks to wife!!!!

Have been using Desire S for a week.
Positives:
1) Nice screen res.
2) Browser is awesome.
3) Fees nice on hand.
4) Pre installed widgets/app are great.
Negatives:
1) Battery is average, hardly lasts a day. (May be same for all smart phones)
2) Home screen doesn't rotate.
3) Video Quality is poor.

I'm from Pakistan i'm a fan of htc mobiles and always prefer to have them which includes hd7, hd2, desire hd recently i have purchase htc desire s from a friend who take it from abroad, sir it last only 10 days as it has hanging problem and then the phone just stuck on the start screen then i went thorugh xda developers forum and from there check factory reset but still it doesn't response, i'm very curious as is it a hardware failure or software or is it repairable, sir i have paid a heavy amount and a loyal fan of htc please can you help me out in this scenario what to do, hard reset is not working just go to the page and appear fast boot, recovery, factory reset and image crc and when i try to do some thng with pushing the power button it just hanged please help me out:)

skumar, 13 Jun 2011 I recently using using HTC desire s ,I am facing problem t... moreDude... if your phone heats up like its not normal disable your 3g connection.. that's the main reason also.. since the phone uses a lot of juice when in 3g mode because of its fast capability connection which is HSDPA, 14.4 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps..

hi every body
I am just got my desire s 4 days ago and till now it works great, may be the only problem is the battery life, it stays from 1 to 1.5 day.
but I am still looking for the better setting to make the phone lives longer.
my real question is and i hope is having an answer for it, is there is a software for this phone concerning FM transmitter so I can use it in my car (without the need of any hardware)

Oh man. This phone is just insane. It's so awesome and cool to pull out! I love it. Got it this morning and so far it's insane. There have been some slight issues though. The phone restarted once for no apparent reason. Then I made a couple of calls and it was really heating up but all of that is sorted no. I guess it was just a minor hiccup. The phone is working just fine now and the battery life is amazing compared to the shitty Desire. People don't hesitate to go for this baby. It's amazing.

1. htc de... moreGo for Incredible S if you don't mind the bigger 4.0" screen & 3k more price tag.
Personally i find the 3.7" Desire S screen perfect for my use.
