I got my desire s 2 weeks ago...working all fine till today...suddenly my phone got restarted by itself and showed the message that htc sense is not working...have anyone faced this kinda problem....why such a thing happened to my phone ....i never used 3rd party software and apps...anyone experienced same thing...kindly share...or what can be the problem...

So I presume it wasn't anodized aluminum after all! I was leaning on getting this one, but now maybe a year older nexus one might be more appealing.. if there is still one around. =)

yup the battery life....
i used galaxy s before desire s .....but i must say desire s battery is much more stable than galaxy s .....i spend the whole day with wifi on,masging,facebook,gps using sum tyms,gaming,music etc and at the end of the day at night it will still left with 30% juice in it...
i really would like to mention the feature of battery saver function in this device which is activated wen the battery is at 10 or 15 percent and u can get 4 hours stand by time from that level.....excellent isnt it?
gaming is awesum on this mobile,ram and andreno 205 gpu are the reasons probably.....have it u will luv it

1)screen is awesum,vivid and feels gud in hand,compact body,luvly design ,i got it in black colour.
2)very handy to use daily routine apps on the go e.g facebook,msging,,contacts,weather app,navigation right from the homescreens thnx to htc sense(hate touch wiz on i9000 s)
3)very nice music quality in headphones,video plybacks are gud too but i found difficulty to play coverted divx files as the music and video were not equally syncd(i dont knw wts the problm)but i m hppy to play those files aftr cnvrting them to wmv...results are gud...
4)camera quality is pretty fine in 5 mp range specially in still shots(luv the led flash)
5)for those who complain abt body paint..really man i hvnt found anythngg like that after 15 days of normal usage...
6)Led light indicator leakage exists in this device but truly its nt a matter u will hardly notice it in dark night but next moment u will say it is not a problm.
7)i ve used it heavily on wifi and hardly got any signal loss problm ....only if u are little away frm wifi u will lose 1 or maximum 2 bars if u put its back on a bed or any flat surface ...but it will only happen if u are little far frm wifi router.....
8)for those who prefer nokia n8....i took both phones in my hand at shop ,when i unlock the screen of n8 (that was the stupidest user interface unlocking i ever saw) and tried t find sumthing gud in n8 's limited world...i totally hated the symbian in touchscreen standards.......and offcourse wen i unlock the screen of desire s ,i luvd everything next to that action.
strongely recommended to the guys wo are confused btween galaxy i9000 s,sony Arc,nokia n8....and wants a balanced smartphone wid cool features.

I'm really disappointed with my HTC Desire S today.I clean my phone and saw the paint come off around the HTC letter...is the quality of the HTC is very worst like that? It have no scratched by hard thing ( key ) .my phone is 30days old.....any comments?

Got this phone delivered earlier this week, prompt service from Letsbuy.com...order was delivered within 4 days (including a weekend in between).
Great handset with 8gb card inside the phone itself.
Have downloaded loads of apps from Android market already and must say decent battery life too, with over 5+ hours of heavy usage over wify downloading apps and checking out the features the battery finally showed a low sign on the end of 2nd day.
Though for its price range HTC should have provided a decent phone case, I would now have to hunt for one in the market...
The screen too needs a protector as with so much tough and typing the screen got smudged over 2 days of heavy usage.
Very efficient and smooth interface and the phones lives up to the 'S' attached infront of it, very fast downloads and scrolling between screens.
Must say a decent buy though I find it a bit overpriced when compare it to HTC Wildfire S, which is only missing out a front vga cam, bit less ram and rom...rest its 95 % same.
