my htc desire s ,os 2.3.5 gingerbread,
it restart itself when I'm surfing net or playing music....it happens atleast once a day.about from 2weeks it happens daily.....and now on this morning when it restart again twice,then after the unlock button doesn't show any option when I pressed it for few seconds ....it only works for lock/unlock,
I Had already scan the device with antivirus.
I'm worried about my phone.I luv it.
plz help me...any suggestion guys.

Hi Guys,
I updated my desires S with ICS. Its working fine.
But I have a problem with the weather application.
All the times after unlocking my phone, I see my weather application couldnt able to detect my location. Each time I need to refresh my weather application by going into it.
Earlier the weather update would be available even I didnt connect to internet means my old weather will be available & when I connect to the internet it will automatically check the weather status. But its not happening now.

i m not able to extract the RUU file downloaded fro... moreHey I got ur problem. Not sure what I replied to ypur earlier posts.No need to extract. Just open HTC sync & connect your device in sysnc mode. Double click and open the instructions pdf from ur compressed download.
Now double click the update file. It will detect your device & it will be updated.

Yes for India you can use WWE RUU. For Backup use "My Backup Pro" application. Apart from Application its also backup Contacts,SMS,Settings,Home Screen.

There is no OTA update available for HTC Desire S now in near future. You have install ICS 4.0.4 manually by downloading the RUU (ROM UPGRADE UTILITY its 400mb file) from HTCDev website. Refer my earlier post for detailed information

it's a great handset after a year it does produce well. I'm not interested in ics. gingerbread is cool for me..

I enjoy reading ebooks and this is sublime.
I love this phone altogether. thanx HTC for this masterpiece. I don't think I will change it anytime soon. Gingerbread OS does great things ICS should go to hell. I'm enjoying my phone which is a year old. I amply recommend this handset

After installing the ics 4.0.4, my blutooth device is not working properly with my desire s phone. It's pairing but controlers are not working. Phone calls are not coming to blutooth device and not able to pic calls from blutooth device. Also music controlers like play ,pause,next buttons are not responding. I am feeling very bad with this issue.
All these were working with old OS 2.3.5.
I am using sony 600 w blutooth device.
Kindly help me if any ones the solution for the same.

Please help me., I am from Iran and I can not upgrade to Android myself ISC 4.'s (15 sep 2012) also did it. About phone-software update-and choose check now, but the message my phone is up to date and there are no update available for your phone. Please, please help me how to update my phone, how?
And it is true that the next update will desire s wifi problem?
I also have trouble with the Romans do?
