I've been using it for several months now... You get more than you pay for, it has a solid build, it's fast, the screen is vivid and sharp, the camera is good and the battery life is pretty good for a phone with such specs. There were 2 updates so far and there's a JB update coming soon (according to several sources and hints from HTC).
Also the Beats enhancement isn't just a marketing scheme as I previously though, it really works and frankly I don't turn it off.
If you're thinking about getting this phone don't hesitate, you get twice the bang for the buck.

1.battery back up also gud
2.Camera Quality awesome
3.browsing connection n wifi gud and 2g package also too gud
4.music sounds s too nice and headphone omg beat audio really awesome

I have been using this phone for 3 months now and it is smooth in terms of performance. It hasn't lagged but I must admit that it has closed an application for about 10 times but after I've reported the problem to htc they have sent me 2 software updates immediately. And I have been saying this for like the third time already if you want a phone that has a player than can play 720 or 1080 videos right out of the box then look somewhere else and stop whining!!!

Well, this is my first smartphone. So I don't really have much idea about other phones in this range or slightly higher. I started my smartphone search with a 12k budget in mind and ended up buying this nice phone. I had read 100's of reviews about Sony Xperia series, Samsung SII, S advance and once almost convinced to get a Nokia windows phone. I guess HTC should do some good marketing about their products. Only because my roomie suggested this, I went on reading reviews about HTC phones and never went back searching for any other brands thereafter. I didn't have any idea how it would feel like in my hand as I had seen this only on videos before getting it. But neverthless, now I feel pretty good about owning this phone.
Well you might have gone through enough reviews about the specs, I have
nothing more to add to it. The Phone build quality and feel on hand is very good. It's slim and the touch sensitivity is really silky. Battery doesn't drain out in a day, though I use a lot of internet and play temple run. Battery always drains only 70% of its full charge in a day despite all these usage. Also haven't felt any lag/ hang ups any time. Beats audio is good compared to Samsung mobiles' audio quality. There are no inbuilt equalizers/presets. I haven't tried any other equalizer from the playstore as Beats itself is good enough for me. The HTC inbuilt browser is much faster compared to Chrome browser. The only prob with inbuilt browser is that there's no close icon for the last available tab. There will always be one internet window open (dormant, not really active) unlike Chrome which can be
closed completely after finishing your browsing. If you are concerned about your data usage, there are settings that would control you to limit your data usage after a certain limit or during roaming (Neither am aware that this is an Android feature nor HTC's, but this must be useful). I have also tried WIFI and USB tethering (Connecting your laptop to internet using phone's WIFI or USB connectivity) and both of them work pretty good. Call quality is always good. I don't find the ringtones' audibility as feeble as mentioned in some of the reviews. It's still loud enough to get my attention.
Now coming to the cons, the camera quality is average I should say despite the actual 5MP claim. HTC could've done better on this. I don't take much photos from my phone, but it could've been better for this price. But capturing an image while taking a video is a nice feature. The power button without any mobile case is easy to find, but after I put on Molife panel, the power button is little tricky to find. The Panel that is available for HTC desire V "M-mlp9129bk-htc-desire-v" fits desire X as well, as the dimensions of both the phones are same. Molife also gives an invisible screen guard free with the case which can be applied without bubbles (Watched few youtube videos on how to apply the screenguard). The touch sensitivity reduces a bit after applying the screen guard though.
Despite the few cons I mentioned above, I started loving this phone and can't really keep it away. My suggestion is "GO FOR IT."
