AnonD-65557, 04 Aug 2012Good phone..i've been using it for the past 1 and half year... moreActually you are wrong,I have had this phone(htc desire z) for a little bit less than a year and many times I have dropped it and threw it and it didn't get damaged and also many times I was pushing this phone to the limit by downloading a lot of big applications at the same time and surfing the internet and maybe the temperature of the phone was hitting the 50 degrees!!!

THIS IS A CALL TO ALL DESIRE Z LOVERS,
Desire Z is my phone for little over a year. It got one upgrade only so far. I recommend that we e-mail htc to provide the ics upgrade or even the JB which is better. I am asking Desire Z owners to start e-mailing the company for such upgrades for their great benefits that suit such a great high quality phone.

Good phone..i've been using it for the past 1 and half year..the only and major problem being that it gets damaged very easily and you have to get it repaired quite often.

The only problem that I got on DesireZ is no upgrade to Android 4.X and no google play store app :-(...

guys this phone is good but my full battery is lasting for 3 hrs when my wi -fi is on and my phone is not accepting memory card above 2 gig ,but it suppose to accept maximum of 32 gig ,i dont know why please help

I have been using HTC Desire z from past one year and i love it. Works better than any other
1Ghz phone my friends are using. All inbuilt and android application works perfectly , great sense of touch,Gingerbread 2.3.3 works perfectly fine. I found only two disadvantages overall weight(becoz of the sliding qwerty keypad) and battery performance (which i think same problem with any smartphone), other than that the phone is simply superb. I would suggest to use rubberized or leather protector case to avoid any scratches. It would have been great if HTC release ICS for this phone, any idea if they are going to ???

I just sent my HTC Desire Z in because the battery began draining down to zero in less than 24 hrs. When HTC recieved it they said that the mother board was damaged? I dropped the phone once about 6 months ago and it caused a slight superficial scratch on the screen but otherwise it was working fine.
Is this normal with these phones because HTC wants to bill me $200 for the repair

It is my first HTC phone, but i am sure of it, i will never buy an HTC product again.

Phone works perfect until the on board memory burns out under six months and HTC does not service outside of the USA

I'm running ICS (Cyanogenmod 9) for a few months now and it's much better, faster, more fluid than the stock software, be it Froyo or Gingerbread.
Also, to the people complaining about the 800 MHz CPU, once you root the phone you can easily overclock it, I'm usually running mine on 1.5 GHz.

I've had it fo... moreI owned this phone because of the fact of keyboard, I have iPhone, blackberry. from work and the galaxy s1, but I prepared the htc desire z comparison to the 3 that I have, I drop it many times but haven't experience shattering the glass since its made from gorilla glass, maybe you shouldn't throw it hard! The keyboard hard to handle,if ur to used to it, tooks me a while to like since I owned the old htc windows with keyboard as well. Generally quite good but the camera sometime when focusing the subjec and it's moves a lot, you won't have good shot.
