[deleted post]Yeah sure Fire XT is also a good option. In comparison to Explorer, i think here are its pros and cons:
Pros:
* Larger Screen (3.5 inch)
* Better Camera (5 Megapixels)
* Secondary Camera Available
* Better battery
Cons:
* Older Processor (ARM v6, while Explorer has ARM v7)
* Slow GPU (Ordinary Adreno 200 while Explorer has "Adreno 200 Enhanced")
* Ordinary build quality
* A bit more expensive than Explorer (~Rs 1000[$20] more)

Galaxy Y: Low Resolution (limits the number of apps that can be installed), No GPU and too slow CPU (as compared to explorer)
Explorer:
Higher Resolution
Adreno 200 Enhanced GPU
and Cortex A5 processor that promises no lags..
So, go for explorer
And regarding other alternatives, u might think choosing Xperia Tipo, Optimus L3 or Defy Mini in the same Range.
(Note these all devices are from same chipset as of HTC Explorer)

gaurav, 04 Jul 2012I am facing multiple issues, touch screen works by itself w... moreI m also facing same issue regarding the sensitivity of touch screen. The screen just seems to click anywhere, open apps etc with out even touching,, but only when we connect mobile to Laptop/Computer.
This is Generic USB issue with most of the devices and it can be sorted with proper fix. (kernel driver issue)

I bought is sometime ago for around Rs 8250 but now price has been dropped a few hundred rupees. (INR)
Dont even think to compare this phone with other processors as lower clocked ARM v7 is much more faster than an higher clocked ARM v6.
Its an awesome Phone...
when compared to its competitors coz it has blazing fast Cortex A5 processor. (Quite fast even @ 600 Mhz, No lags @ all).
None other phone having same or better chipset (Snapdragon S1 M7225A) has price less than Rs 10,000. For details about chipset and phones, check this:

I have rooted this phone with a2sd installed thus all my apps are not installed on the memory card, so no more internal memory problem.
And also after rooting, we have options to install some of the custom ROMs available for our device.
Although Android 4.0 (IceCream Sandwich) has not yet been ported to this device but the ICS ROM is under progress and hope we will also get ICS on our little explorer pretty soon. (a month i guess)
And atlast all i can say is that You wont regret buying it.
Alternative: Xperia Tipo @ Rs 10,000 (it has ICS, and CPU overclocked @ 800 Mhz, expected to release this month ), Defy mini or Optimus L3.

iam from india...i bought the HTC EXPLORER in april 12,2012...
My phone is getting heat while charging and continuos 2,3 hours usage...what happen in my phone..?
I am worried about this problem....

I am facing multiple issues, touch screen works by itself without touching phones,so multiple clicks and zoom happens by itself,it does not stops no matter what you
do. Another issue is audio jack doesn't work, if I connect headset and move the port after inserting in the audio jack and pull it slightly only right speaker work and not the left and tried with so.y Ericsson headset same issue with the jack.Please tell me if anybody also facing same issue and kindly explore before buying htc phone.
