Its a great tablet and phone I am an android user and I can say that this is the best tablet that you can change the configuration of it to be a great phone with high specification

I had same problem iPad or Flyer, and...... I am proud and happy owner of Flyer for more than a month.
It work smooth and its batery life is gorgeous. Only difference is that screen is smaller and that is maybe only minus in favour of iPad. If you have any experience with HTC smartphones, especially Sensation or Desire HD, Flyer is your right choice and it will not dissapoint you.

Comparing the I-Pad2 16GB with the HTC Flyer why would you go for the HTC or why would we go for the I-Pad...
I am stuck on this choice and cannot make up my mind..
Have not player with EITHER however looking through the Specs and review has actually made the decision a lot harder that I first thought when confronted with the choice..
When the choice came to me I first thought of taking the HTC as I like the idea of Android and the cameras it has compared to the I-Pad also the choice is between the 16GB I-Pad and the 32GB Flyer.. already having the Desire I thought that this would be a good place to go...the fact that additional memory can be added and the Ram is also bigger again did the push towards the HTC.... the CPU is the one thing that leans towards the I-Pad Dual core..
looking through the specs of both and the reviews even searching the comparisons, I am afraid of going with the HTC might be like just buying another Smartphone as most of the comparisons leans towards the I-Pad.
none of them revolve around the functionality ease which both android and "MAC" Apple are known for....
as far as capabilities and connection it seem that the I-pad is Lacking as the only connections is has is the data/charger & headset connection and the HTC using the USB connection gives the feeling that more devised can be connected....
The final real thing is that the HTC allows for additional memory with the micro SD slot....
This does all seem one sided if we had a war, why then are we so conflicted. Not taking anything away from either of them I am just trying to work this conflict out...
Will I buy the HTC and be disappointed when I see an I-PAD2

Please guy’s someone that has compared these two in terms of usages and speed and not just what the manual and manufacturers say.
I am looking for an urgent non BIAS response.
Looking for facts as tested and played with confirmation...
The friends and collogues I have asked are really bias as responses I got were The I-Pad: reason it’s and I-pad....
THIS is like saying I drive a specific car just because it is that car

my flyer 3.5mm jack is cover by the top cover...how come it's made tis way???

3) Root
Using root explorer or your favorite text editor edit the build.prop file under /system/build.prop and edit the following lines:

ro.ril.reject.mo.ussd.enabled=0
ro.phone.function=1
To enable Bt Headset profile change the following:

ro.bt.profiles = 4270403
service.brcm.bt.ag_supported = 1
Save your changes and reboot your device. Look under the programs menu you will see the phone app you will now be able to make and receive calls.
Tested on a 3G UK unlocked flyer using an AT&T SIM.
EDIT: now with full BT support!!

Hey. Can anyone tell me if this is capable of handwriting recognition just like other HTC devices like the Touch Diamond?
Do I have to download a program/app for this?

I am a flyer user, to activate the phone calls u need to root the device first and modified it (check it on xda developer site, they show step by step)
Now my flyer is s-off & can make a phone call through bluetooth headset (i am using Samsung tab WEP495) u cannot make it without the headset because it builds on single line. I also upgrade my flyer to honeycomb but cannot make a phone call (fyi, there is no HC device can make a phone dial, sms only)
I am quite satisfied with handset because the gamin experience is awesome (PES 2011)
