Anonymous, 20 Dec 2010hey my full ROM-version is : 3.14.413.2 (04666) SVE so... moreHSPL is a modified version of an SPL which does not do a digital signature check.
It works by replacing your original SPL that does the digital signature check.
The most up-to-date HSPL right now is based on a version 2.08 SPL
      The 3.14 ROM has a 3.04 SPL
So replacing it with HSPL would be making a backward step.

As you already have the most up-to-date ROM which has the most up-to-date Radio and SPL. All you really want to change is just the OS version to an English one.
For this you should use SSPL.
It is a SoftwareSPL that dose not install it’s self on your phone.
It remains on your PC and only temporally by passes your SPL to allow only an OS change.
It dose not change the radio or SPL to use the one from that ROM you downloaded.
Lucky for you, the OS is all you really need.

      What is needed..

      SSPL
      http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=606713

      3.14.405.2 ROM
Use this S/N on HTC UK site HT9AZNW00968

7ZIP or any other decompression program.
      http://www.7-zip.org/

      How to do it…
Follow instructions under “How to use it:” on the SSPL web page
You will use “7zip” the extract the “RUU_signed.nbh” from the 3.14.405.2 ROM you downloaded.

Note: this is to be done from your PC, not the phone.

AASTMT, 19 Dec 2010i'm little bit confused i have been reading many reviews on... moreLet me see if I can clear up your confusion.
The HD2 falls under a group of devices called “Pocket PC”
It does not fall under the category of a “feature phone”
As a pocket PC, the OS it is running is a “Mobile” version of “Windows”
And here is where the different opinions about the phone comes
Give 2 people the same “net book” with a 1GHz CPU 512mb of RAM and 120gb hard drive
1 person will fill the hard drive with every piece of “free ware” they could fine till the hard drive had less than 50mb left on it free. They would not care if there “net book” had the hardware or drivers for all the freeware they installed. They would install it anyway. On top of that they would try to play a 3D graphic game on it.
The other person would only install what they needed. They would make sure there “net book” drivers were up to date and that the software that they install was made to run on a PC with there spec. They would leave free space on their C drive. And use a external drive to store data.
If you ask the 2 people what they think about the net book. One would say it is crap. it is always crashing. A PSP is better for 3D games and other things.
The other would say it’s good and because of it they don’t have to log around the 17” Alien Ware Laptop all the time.

Now think of the “Pocket PC” HD2 as that “Net book” the 2people had.
It has a 1GHz CPU, 448mb RAM and a 512 Hard Drive. It uses SD card as external storage. and its OS is “WINDOWS mobile”
Hope the comparison help you understand.
Which is better between Android and windows mobile, depends on what you need to use from a software phone of view. It’s like asking which is better between an Xbox 360 or PS3. They are both good on till you see a game you like that only comes on one of them.

                    Hey Anthony...
One thing i noticed is everyday morning 6.45Am to 7 Am IST my Phone is becoming real slow...really funny i knw :)

Well, I was about to buy an iPhone 4G and was waiting for that. Meantime I got a HTC HD2 and guess what, I would never be happy to use iPhone after using this device. It's been totally rocking. It helps me in various ways than a typical handset or the gorgeous iPhone. Beside every common functions, the main additional that it has is, it acts like a router itself. So, a device needing wi-fi to operate can get internet through this device which is amazing. The image quality is is great and the weather function is very very impressive one. The only lacking I feel is about the battery backup but keeping in mind that it has a wide display and huge animations, this is considerable. Any person would be happy to get this in hand just for its quality and features rather than an iPhone. Best of luck for the upcoming buyers. Enjoy !
