the new 3.14 ROMs have a new SPL & RADIO. so the HSPL available now will not work to install it.
i need you to install a 3.14 ROM made for your phone, which will give you the new radio and spl than you would have use SSPL to change the OS back to English.
if you can't get .407.downloaded, i can only update you to 1.66.405.2

The Germany HTC website offers the 3.14 with the following:

Germany: 3.14.407.2

while my original ROM was
1.48.207.2

They do however offer an O2 ROM that is:
ROM-Version:.1.72.207.0

If you recall, I did purchase my HD2 from O2 Germany. It's not branded or anything, and it didn't have any O2 software loaded on it, but I'm assuming this still has something to do with why my last 4 of my original ROM match the last 4 of the 1.72 ROM that HTC offers.

What do you think?

go to the HTC Germany site, and see if there is a 3.14 ROM that matches your Original ROM (last 4 digits) the first 3 of that 4 is what is important.
download it using your SN.

ProjectCM3, 11 Dec 2010Anthony, Never mind, found info that definitely suggests... moreok, if you only used SSPL then you still have your original SPL & Radio version on the phone. only the OS was changed. do you remember what you original ROM number was? the last 4 digits is the important part.

Never mind, found info that definitely suggests I used SSPL_RUU.

So the answer is SSPL.

I searched my (new) laptop for the folder that I saved all the data that we used for the ROM change, and from what I can tell, I have the following:

RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship.xex.

SSPL_RUU.zip

HSPL.zip

HD2Tweak 1.0.1_English.cab

changescreen_inst.cab

So, as you can see, I find both HSPL and SSPL data on my laptop. I can't remember which one I used. Is there any way to find out by digging through the HD2?

Lioe, 11 Dec 2010Hi Anthony, may I check with you about the new ROM Version:... moreThat top bar is called the “task bar” and it is working the best it ever did in version 3.14.
The task bar is split into 2 parts, the start menu & the notifications window.
How it works....
1. Tapping the “windows logo” or any text that is next to it will open the start menu.
2. Tapping on any “icon” that is on the right (not including “ok or X”) will open the “notifications window”
By default the notifications area is split into 2 sections.
The top always has a line that shows your network, and if you are in a call or using data, you get an “active time clock”. It also always has a line that shows the % of battery power you have left.
As a “new” notification icon, e.g. sms, mms, voice mail, reminder, msn message and much much more, appear or disappears from the task bar, the same happens in the Notifications window.
When in the “notifications window”, the icons on the right of the words are all functional.
And some of the words are active/functional but not all of them.

So in short, if you don’t see a notification “icon” on the “taskbar” for your NEW SMS, then there will be no line for it in the “notifications window”.
Note: when you install apps that alter the taskbar they may or may not affects the functionality of the notifications area, so be careful of what you do.

Saturday sounds good. If 3.14 is uber complicated and does not provide any significant benefits as opposed to the 1.6 then I'll just do the 1.6.

What are the major differences between the 2?

Are you still rocking the HD2 for every day or do you have something else instead?

I have upgraded to the latest ROM Version: 3.14.707.3 completed successfully. Now I just notice, if I receive SMS/received miss called then I can open it with touch the on top bar and the on top start with windows logo can response very good. Then after a while I receive another SMS, but this time I touch the on top bar and start with windows logo cannot response al all. Is there anyone have this issue with the new ROM Version: 3.14.707.3? Thank you for your attention and reply.

Andynho, 10 Dec 2010Hmmm I see well I gonna get the T-mob one i don't have data... moreDude, we don’t even live in the same country.
And if you buy a US T-mobile HD2 your phone will never be like mine. (US version has different hardware for ROM, RAM and some other things..) Because of that hardware difference, you can’t change your ROM to a HTC factory ROM of any other HD2. (US T-mobile Version is like the outside child of the HD2 family) you will have to stay with a US Tmobile ROM or get a cooked ROM made for specifically for the US Tmobile HD2.
If you don’t have 3G data on your SIM and don’t plan to get 3G data (DON’T BUY THE US T-MOBILE VERSION) the only way to get off the crap ware will be by putting on a cooked ROM. and as for the missing treats the factory unlocked versions have, I don’t think you will ever get them all back with add-ons.
That auto data setup for the SIM is only in the factory unlocked versions. (A updateable provider database is kept on the phone for that function.) That was tripped out of the non factory phones because the providers only want the phone set up to work with there data plan. So US T-mobile HD2, only has US T-mobile settings. If you not with T-mobile you will have to manually put in your provider settings for SMS, MMS, EDGE, 3G and so on.

If you need 3G then being from the US you have to buy that version. But if 2G/EDGE/GPRS is good enough for SIM data, then you should get the UK factory Unlocked version.

Hi guys ! It has been a while since I last opened these HD2 pages... :)

The Great News are:

Android ROM Developing on the HD2 is going very well, so stay tuned for that, because it will be launched in a few weeks probably or even earlier.
Actually it will be released with MAGLDR (a bootloader), which will allow the user to boot the Android directly from NAND (internal memory of the HD2), and the deal is that the Android will work even faster on HD2 and better, and the power consumption problems will be reduced.. this means that the battery life will hold longer on Android..
Of course I can't wait to see the release of the Android from NAND & it's MAGLDR, because I also want to have only Android on the HD2 ! :D ... Here's some info on XDA & the updates on Twitter:

Anthony, 10 Dec 2010it depends on how your provider sets up there sim & whi... moreHmmm I see well I gonna get the T-mob one i don't have data plan now on my sim/plan is there a way i can take out the t-mob addition sh!t and wipe it like it's straight from factory and which rom or os whatever it's called u the phone expert, is the best one for smooth operating etc kinda like how your own is i know yous works 11/10 btw where u live man maybe if u close i can reach you i live in Boston if NY that's fine to I'll pay you to organize mine i don't care i just love the phone dread
