you could go into setting> today> items> and turn on windows default. then reinstall CHT and it may put back the files you deleted. then go back in settings> today> items> and turn back on HTC Sense.
if that don't work, its back to option 1. lol

I have figured this out on my phone as of March this year and all has been well after that.

If you used calendar entries and task before you did this work around.
You may want to take a look at your times in your entries. They may be off by an hour and full day events may now be going 1 hour into the next day.
If you have a lot of entries there is a trick to correct this in one batch, rather than 1 at a time.
Just let me know if you have run into that problem before you start changing any times and dates.

You will never take CPU RAM and ROM space for granted again when deciding between 2 phones that run the same OS. Those things matter a great deal to the performance of any smart phone. No matter what OS it is running.

Its like when I say don’t buy a smart phone that is provider branded to save money. It may look the same on the outside… but 9 out of 10 times. It has been striped, crippled and cheapened on the inside and now matter what you do it will take a lot of hard work (if possible at all) to get it to have everything and perform like the factory unlocked versions of the same phone. To most this may not matter. But if you don’t fit in the group of MOST. Trust me you don’t want to make that mistake.

There's no reason to buy another phone at this time... The HD2 fits me like a glove... I've installed a few extra app's (like Softmaker 2010, which is a full Office Suite for WM)... Hopefully WP7 and Spb Shell 5 will come to the HD2 by the end of the year... I'll be sticking with my HD2 for another year or so... Hopefully by then we'll see truelly updated phones and hardware.....

The instructions in the post below are for anyone that is having problems with incorrect GMT.
Note: if the auto time sync is giving you the incorrect time. Do not try to correct the Time. The time is already correct for the GMT the phone is set to. The problem is the GMT may be wrong for where you are. Once you follow the instructions in the post below you will see that the time will adjust it self. If you correct the time for your location but on the wrong GMT, when you fix the GMT the time will be incorrect again.

Frank, 03 Nov 2010Hey guys since the daylight savings, the cellphone is switc... moreI had the same problem because “My Location” kept putting me in the wrong time zone.
It was putting me in GMT -4 Atlantic (which has daylight savings) but T&T uses GMT-4 La Paz (which has no daylight savings). I would correct the GMT and as soon as I went on the internet the phone would put it back at GMT -4 Atlantic.

I did find a work around, you have to turn off internet time sync and phone time sync restart the phone, then manually set your GMT and time. My location will still work but it will not set the time and GMT for you when you do this.

                          1. how to turn off internet time sync.
Settings> Data services> Internet time sync> uncheck the box.

                          2. how to turn off phone time sync.
                          Settings> Wireless controls> tap the word “Phone”> Menu> Network selection> GSM/UMTS Services> Time Synchronization> set settings> uncheck the box

                          3. how to manually set the GMT.
Settings> Menu> All settings> Clock & Alarms> set the information for the Home clock

I've been using this phone for almost a year & I loved it so much. It's BIG & fast. I've even installed android 2.2 as the second OS & now I can enjoy it even more. Bottomline, it's a good phone.

You have to pay for the Pro version

Anonymous, 03 Nov 2010Anthony, you can easily debrand a handset by simply install... moreI know you can debrand a branded HD2 but theses are my reasons for saying it is better to buy factory unlocked (if you don’t need the USA T-mobile version)
                                    .
                                    1. Most cooked ROMs have things striped out of them. What if I want those things that where striped out?
                                    2. Provider Branded ROMs are always last to get updated by HTC.
                                    3. HSPL versions are only updated after a new SPL comes out. The new 3.14ROM has a 3.03 SPL and to date there is no 3.03HSPL so every one I have tried to help get the 3.14ROM on there phone using HSPL3 has ended up losing ROM space and ended up going back to there old ROM to get back there space.
                                    4. a lot of provider branded ROMs have no update at all, so there is no where for you to download a original copy if you do decide to install HSPL. What is going to happen if something goes wrong with your phone and you have to send it back? You have no Original ROM and SPL to put back on.
                                    5. If you feel like putting a cook ROM on a factory unlocked phone that I easy to do as well.
                                    6. Most people that complain that the phone is crap, have one with a provider branded ROM.
                                    7. some of the new provider branded phones can’t be unlocked using the SD card method, (you get an error)
I say better be safe than sorry and buy the factory unlocked one if you can afford it.

Rinzy, 03 Nov 2010Hey Anthony,Any ideas as to when will be CHT V2 Final relea... moreI have no idea when CHT V2 final will be coming out.
Yes I am using CHT V2 Beta and the matching CHTEditor and its gooooooood.
Love the new state indicators quick links. My first row of quick links is filled with….
(Memory Load, Process Count, Free Main Storage, Battery Temp, Battery Life) with them there I was able to un-install to taskbar programs I used before. For monitoring the phone vitals

                                      Note:
                                      1. The CHT lock screen is still buggy on my phone (some times it will not fully wake up when you press the power button ) so I don’t use it.
                                      2. there is a bug in setting the Row count, where you have to set it in CHTEditor and Edit Home Layout in order for it to behave correctly
other than those 2 things the rest works good for me.
Read the know bug/fix report on cookies site before you install.
There is also a user manual for download.

Hi again ! I've been using Android 2.2 Froyo on my HD2 for a while, and I like it much more than Windows Mobile, I really realised that in Android the softwares and the games are much more better than those from WM. The Browser on the Android supports flash, and it's even smoother & faster. The 3D games like NFS Shift are just amazing and really far more better than the 3D games on WM.... So, I'm still looking forward about how to make my HD2 to start only with Android, I mean, when I turn on my HD2, to boot up only with Android, and to have Windows Mobile completely deleted from my HD2... I don't know if this is possible, but I'm also wondering about this and I want to ask you guys the same question if it's possible to do this .... or if there are some special ROMs with Android, which can be installed over the current ROM with WM, so in this way Android may replace WM ? ... Please someone explain to me if this could be done, or at least if it is possible...
