You just typed it “1.42 HSPL” (and that is the very first one too.)
Did you buy that phone on ebay or something? Looks like some one hacked the phone original SPL with the first HSPL and put on the 1.66.405.2 UK ROM before you got the phone, if you are telling me you did not install any HSPL.
I need more info about where you got the phone before I will take a chance and give a recommendation of what to try.

The next 3 numbers after that is what tells you that info.
I also had a 1.66 ROM but from the .405. group, which is the UK unlocked grouping.

What I would really like to know now is if you did not use any HSPL to get the ROM on your phone. How did you get it on? And what is your SPL version?
Power off the phone. Hold the volume down key and power on the phone.
The correct SPL for the 3.14 ROM is SPL-3.03. What version dose yours say?

It down to 1 of 2 things.
                  1. your ROMs some how got corrupted. Downloading the update ROM ROM HTC using your S/N can fix that.

                  2. your hardware is damage and you have to send it back to HTC to be repaired.

For you sake I hope it is the first one. Go to the HTC UK SITE from your PC and see if you can use your serial number on the phone to download the latest T-mobile UK ROM. I think it is a version 1.72 dated 2010-04-26
If you get it downloaded, let me know.

Anthony, 19 Oct 2010First I have an important question and I would really like ... moreThanks Anthony. I downloaded the 3.14 RUU from a mirror of the HTC site [megaupload] as for some reason HTC have wrongly recorded my serial number recorded as locked to O2. I have not used HSPL3.

Under settings the phone shows: (1)Hardware information: RAM 576MB and (2) Phone storage: total storage memory 176.25MB and total program memory 208.81MB (seems low compared to your note?).

So I have plenty of storage memory free (over 100MB)but program memory seems to fall over time from 40MB-50MB when I turn the phone on to perhaps below 20MB when it seems to be unstable. I have found a program called CleanRAM which helps (a little) but looking at other sites it seems perhaps there should be more program memory available.

Thanks for your thoughts on this.

maik, 19 Oct 2010 htc hd2 is compatible with bluetooth handsfree samsung wep... moreI’ll make the assumption that you know how to pair a device with a HD2 so I’m not going to explain that.
What your problem could be is….. The head set may not be able to pass the HD2 bluetooth lock. So you are going to have to turn it off. (You can turn it back on after the pair)

                      How this is done…
Settings>Menu>All Settings>Bluetooth>Yes>tap the tab on the top left that has the gears on it.>Advanced…>Connectivity> un check the box> done>Exit.

If after doing that you still can’t pair, then you can say it is not compatible.

Was the 3.14 ROM made for you phone S/N or did you use HSPL3 to get it on?

It’s imposible for the RAM to be 512 using an original ROM, when HTC put a 448 RAM chip in the T8585 phones. You must be talking about ROM. don’t mix the 2 up.

That is what the spec of the physical memory on the phone is. RAM size 448MB, ROM size 512mb.
                        The ROM is split into 2… Storage 175.75mb + program 336.77MB = 512.52mb ROM
There is nothing wrong, that’s how the math works. Most people freeze because they let the free space on the ROM fall below 10% = 51.2mb.
Program memory is used by anything that is running on the phone including the OS and the call part of the phone it self. When you use the taskmanager the close the programs & Processes you are not using, you get back the space.
And things you install or save or have a default save place on internal memory, goes to the storage side of the ROM.

This is the part you can fix by deleting unwanted/not needed files and by setting programs the make there catch file or save files to internal memory, to do that on the SD.
Like any computer it is only going to run at its optimal if you do your part and do maintenance.

Just downloaded ATT U-verse TV app on my HD2 through Android OS... ATT just released the Android version of there U-verse mobile app for TV... It works (but in low res)... The wasn't made for the HD2... I have because I have Android on my HD2... What sucks is that ATT will release this app for WP7 and not for WM6.5... That's one way they will get you to buy a new WP7 phone.....

I like the fact that I can now control my cable TV from anywhere now... I will nolonger miss a sports game or movie now... Also you can download shows to watch on your phone as well... Will post more after I play with it some more....

What new in HTC 3.14 ROM

                                        1. The ROM is using the new Radio version 2.15.50.14
                                        2. I didn’t have to install “.net 3.5” for the programs that needed it with my last ROM. (looks like it has a newer “.net”)
                                        3. The sim auto setup data base is already up to date and did not need updating
                                        4. The Notifications window now has the X button next to each notification, so you can close a notification without having to view it first.
                                        5. The phone dialer no longer has the slide Cover.
                                        6. Phone dialer icons have been reorganized to look like the one from the HD mini
                                        7. The FM Radio has the new interface like the one from the HD mini (like this one more)
                                        8. The Voice recorder is the new one like the HD mini (it can pause and resume recording unlike the one that was in the 1.66 ROM
                                        9. You no longer have to use any of the old hot fix files from HTC.
                                        10. The volume control is split into 2 ring/system by default now.
                                        11. Sms sent notification has been updated and is much better than before.
                                        12. Audio reception in calls greatly improved.
                                        13. Standby time greatly increased.
                                        14. New SPL 3.03

If I find any more new things that 1.66 did not have a will add it later.
