            1) Install "data controller" and open this apps and turn on everything. See wat happens. Nth happens...turn off & on again all option in data controller. This is good apps to control your data plan.

            2) Go to start/setting/menu/all setting/connection....try to do manually.Hope it helps

              Guys,
              I need some help here.
I used to have internet connection (using 3G) on my HD2 and browse and download comforbaly. But surprisingly I can't access any website again on my hd2 since 3 days now - though the phone indicates connection established. I have reset the phone (both Hard and Soft) but no success. I have contacted my network provider and they keep reassuring me that my line is "active" and that I should have internet access (meaning their end is clear).
What is surprising also is that when I get to hotspot environment, I comfortably browse on this same HD2. Kinda confusing??
              I would appreciate any help.

Note: I have been browsing on the HD2 (using 3G) for over 4 months.
              Radio Ver: 2.10.50.26

I strongly advice you to install "Energy" ROM if you have tmobile US version HD2. This is the best cooked rom available(at least for me). Since cooker of this rom is from USA....it's compatible with US version (even no need to install new Radio version).

Once you get this rom on your hd2...it will wipe all those tmobile crap and comes with all necessary stuffs only. The only disadvantage i see of having tmobile hd2 for you is that....you won't be able to use 3g in your country(india). Rest will be fine.

[deleted post]First thing you should know is you don’t download a ROM to your phone.
                    2. You download it to your PC and use ActiveSync or WMDC to FLASH the new ROM to the phone to replace the old ROM.
                    3. You can't delete a ROM off your phone because the partition it is on is hidden.
                    4. if you are doing an official ROM upgrade you have to know what ROM you have on the phone now, so you know which HTC country site or phone provider site to go to in order to use your S/N to find & download the right ROM.
Buy the way if your ROM starts with 1.43 it is very old and buggy.
The latest ROMs start with 1.66 or higher depending on the full Rom # that your phone came with.

Atul, 21 Jul 2010Thanks for your reply. I am from India and the 3G version ... moreOk i confirmed it. You can't change the ROM on the US version to the international version or cooked ROM because HSPL which is needed to do such a change does not support the US 1GB ROM SIZE. (look at the red writing on the web page from the link below and see for your self.)

That means you would be stuck with some tmobile US software that you can't use in India & and all the 3rd party software that you would not be able to use in India like "slacker" and so on.
(software that comes with a ROM can't be uninstall to get more free space on the ROM)
And because the sim database is not in that version getting Internet and mms to work with your SIM is going to be hell.

The US version is not the best choice unless you are in the US to use it.
Get a factory unlocked T8585 HD2. that's the one with the most support both from HTC and XDA. the 3G on it is 900 2100 and for edge or gprs the phone has all 4 bands

I am from India and the 3G version is working here on same spectrum as US. Also the reason only for buying the US version is ROM as I believe that the more the rom the better the performance as RAM is fixed in both(though I intend to keep the ROM free as much as possible). Yes the Cooked ROM can be an issue but XDA showed some ROM so I was under the pretext that it wont be problem to put regular HD2 ROM's on this. Can anybody clear this.
I am using P565 and dont have much graphic use but for business I require a powerful and handy phone. Eyeing this since 6 mnths. Hope if someone reply abt ROM, it shall help be decide.
Thanks once again. If you read anyting or come know abt US version do let me know.

Atul, 20 Jul 2010Hey Anthony whats the difference between T-Mobile and othe... moreThe main difference between U.S.A. and the international unlocked version is..
U.S.A. version has a different band for the 3G so it can work on U.S.A. 3G networks
U.S.A. version has a bigger ROM which is good.
But if you don’t live in the U.S.A. that is the only thing that is better about the U.S.A. version.
Some of the good HTC software of the international unlocked version was replaced with t-mobile software that only works if you are in the U.S.A.
Allot of 3rd party software is on the ROM by default but they only work if you are in the U.S.A.
Auto sim setup (on the internal database) has been removed from the U.S.A. version, so you will have to setup mms and internet manually if you not with T-mobile USA
Using cooked ROMs are not as easy with the U.S.A. version (if it can be done at all)
Long story short… don’t buy the US version if you don’t live in the U.S.A. the international unlocked version may have a smaller ROM but every thing on that version is usable when you a outside of the US. You can’t say the same for the US version.

You also have to copy and paste the latest zImage from http://cotulla.pp.ru/leo/Android/ to the android folder on your sd card and it fixes battery, backlight, and the 3g connection

I have had my hd2 for awhile now and i was generally happy with it, but now that i have android 2.2 with everything working i think its the best!!! You have to make a couple minor changes in winmo, jmz dual boot for no hypermode, install a miri v17 rom for the calls to work, HSPL3, and then android and everything will work!!!

I have owned a lot of phones / pda's. The HD i have for almost 3 months now, and it's the best phone i have ever owned. Thats for screen, performance and sound quality. The screen outside is definitely not that bad as everyone suggesting. The only thing HTC can improve is the auto landscape an portrait on tilting, especcially on the microsoft programs. If number fixing could be added, especcially in excell the 123 myst be pressed before numbers could be typed?

whats the difference between T-Mobile and other US or UK version of HD2.
Is having more ROM a better option to chosse T-Mobile.
