High Tech, 13 Jul 2010Well it seems I found a nice rom (Omega)... It's not perfec... moreAbout storage... U get 200MB available after flash (usable storage), which is what I was looking for... I've installed most all apps to main memory now, games on storage card (don't play that often)... Now I can truely hot swap SD Cards now (main card for music ton and other 16GB for movies)... Also you can install your apps and not have apps from others that you don't use...... This ROM is a keeper for me.................................

Well it seems I found a nice rom (Omega)... It's not perfect, but it's good (No soft resets)... One think I noticed, is that if you hold phone to ear to talk, the screen blanks out like it should, but it sometimes want come back like it should (have to push home button or wait for it to come back)... A good thing is battery life and storage... Battery life is very good (w/ext battery)... You get about 24 hours standby time (lose about 3 to 4% and hour, compared to other ROMs losing 10% hour)... I'm playing pocket player with wifi (that means weather updating, etc) on and lost only 4% an hour (with screen on)... I changed radio as well... I say "give ROM a try"...

ram, 08 Jul 2010can this htc hd2 can tranfer images and video through using... moreOF COURSE YES. my classic htc gene is doing that basic function.what more to this hd2.

Atul, 12 Jul 2010any performance difference in t-mobile and lesser rom ones??The only difference is that you get - Google Talk, T-mobile services: MobiTV, BLOCKBUSTER, Barnes & Nobl, Gogo Inflight Internet, Transformers & Transformers 2 movies preloaded

Hi Anthony: I got my HD2 from UK and it's O2 unlocked. I have few questions if you please guide me. I am totally newby so I would need your step-by-step type of support.

How to check firmware version?
Can I update/upgrade version of my device? (when I tried to set up my GPRS (as you guided to someone)I only see two countries UK & Irelan (I am from Pakistan)I assume only to change the firmware will help me.)

How to install applications?

After getting the answers of the above I probably will have some more questions.

You can connect to PC in Disk Drive mode and copy the hotfix file on your memory card and then run the hotfix from your memory card on the phone. I have done transfer in disk drive mode as well as using active sync and both are giving me the same error (incorrect device). Could you please try copying this hotfix in disk drive mode and let me know if it works or gives the same error as mine?

Yes it carries 1.48 ROM in india.
I tried downloading the new sms fix but i m not able to synchronise my HD2 with the laptop after. It allows me to do file transer (Disk drive in Usb to Pc option) but nothing happens once i click Active Sync.

Secondly i spoke to the service center guy in HTC in India and he said that 1.66 ROM upgrade is not for indian customers and getting that might disturb the warranty.

Anthony,

I have seen a video demo of the so called cookie home tab editor version 1.7 developed by xda developers. its awesome... i downloaded the file from my pc and copied into my sd card via active sinc. but when i tapped the installer it shows me an error message. can you show me step by step on how to get it into my hd2? i have a unlock rom version 1.66 and i also have .net redistributed 3.5 installed in my unit.

Please help.
