    Hi Guys,

Got my HD2 about a week ago, a 1 month old used set from my friend. Poor fella, first time WM user and can't get use to the system. Got a really good deal from him.

I have been using WM OS since 2001, changed many brands and models before and I would say HTC and WM have come a long way. Really like the new UI (user interface)on this one, smooth operation and the big screen of 4.3". The largest I've used was 3.5" screen on XDA IIs that comes with a slide qwerty thumbpad. The HD2's screen made internet reading and surfing much easy and the Opera 9.5 was great, better than the Opera Mini. As for GPS, I've Garmin installed which most people would already know how to operate.

Yes, I would agree with many that the touch screen and zoom pinching feature were copied from Iphone but who doesn't "copy the best and avoid the worst" these day? Don't think I'll change to Mac OS anytime soon. Many would say Mac (IPhone) is better than HD2 but personally I feel it boils down to individual preference and product marketing - Mac did a good job on this one. In my country, an Ipad cost the same as an i3 processor notebook with 250GB Hard Disk and 2GB DDR, 3 USB ports and DVD-RW while Ipad has 16GB, no USB port and no DVD-RW so go figure!! For me, however, I'll go for an i3 processor notebook PC anytime, that's my personal view.

Great phone overall, cheers to HTC on this one.

The only thing I don't like about this phone is the email load part message only. Have to press send/receive to get the remaining messages.

There is, however, a method call wait and see. Plus, I would also like to say that a smartphone should be kept for at least a year or two to be called "smart".

The HD2 is not obsolete, even if WP7 is out. There is really nothing to worry about, even if it is against an EVO or Droid. You got the 1GHz processor, and WM.

Unless you expect phone to be available with 120 to 250gb in the near future with a minimun of class 10 in the transfer speed. This ain't happening that soon!

High Tech, 03 Jul 2010I agree with U (HD2 is the best WM phone out)... But U have... moreYes, the Droid and the Evo are better specs than the HD2, and it's bound to be that way since they are newer phones than the HD2.

It is also not surprising since Android has been playing ketchup ( yes, I spelled that correctly: KETCHUP :) since last year.

WM should have been in the 8MP since last year, but most phone manufacturers did not follow that route, except Sony with the X2. For instance, I anticipated the Omnia II to be an 8MP. Samsung only offered it in the Omnia HD with Symbian only.

Therefore, 8MP should definitely coming out in Microsoft Phones this year due to Android competition.

However, not everything is all about the hardware specs. There is the OS to consider, and UI. Although Android OS is catching up pretty quickly up to version 2.x (Microsoft is currently in the 6.5.x version), I prefer and favor WM.

Yet, things are turning around again due to the economy and market changes. It seems that Android 3.0 maybe playing a little bit the WP7 way (i.e. getting some stuff locked up for now, and free it later). It is a vicious circle, and that how life is.
