I have a question for those who already used this phone or using it now. How does this 65 k colors screen look like? Is it kinda poor for this big screen with 480x800 pixels res.?

ThePrinceDaniels, 07 May 2010how does this device feel in your hand?Is it pocketable or ... moreIf you think this is too much or too complicated, you might as well wait for WP7, which is the iphone alternative.

With WP7, you don't have to worry about task manager = single tasking. That's good for the average Joe. lol

With WP7, Microsoft is trying to get a more stable phone by verifying 3rd party softwares through its own market, and by limiting what softwares can do!

With WP7, Microsoft is trying to get the "same user experience." Hence, WP7 will be less customizable.

ThePrinceDaniels, 07 May 2010I want to ask those who own an htc hd2.Is it worth buying i... moreSo yes, it is worth to buy it and to own it.

It just depends which HD2 you are getting and how you got it = ROM version.

The stability issues are generally from 3rd party softwares, unclosed programs, or no reboot time for too long.

Hence, you will need to do your own testing on 3rd party softwares, to close unused programs (i.e. task managers), and to remember to reboot/refresh OS (which can be set to be done automatically).

The phone will not just fall in your hand and be your perfect phone.

With the HD2, you will also need to do A LOT of tweakings (initially) to your liking!!!

ThePrinceDaniels, 07 May 2010how does this device feel in your hand?Is it pocketable or ... moreIn term of size, it is not bad. The HD2 is not huge, but it is not small either. lol

It is a 4.3 inch screen. It is what it is! However, it is not heavy, and it is fairly thing.

It is pocketable in front jeans with the original slim battery. In fact, you won't notice that much difference if you had another smartphone (it's about 1cm wider than others).

If you are really concerned about the size of the phone, I would recommend you to look for another WM model. However, you will not get the 1GHz processor (e.g. Omnia II with 8/16GB internal storage).

I'm thinking of buying an HD2. This will be my first smarphone. Could someone answer the following questions for me?
                              1. If you are wearing a bluetooth headset and the phone rings with an incoming call do you hear the ringtone in the headset?
                              2. Can you create and edit Excel spreadsheets on the phone or is it read only?
                              3. If yes to (2), can you edit an Excel spreadsheet whilst you are actually connected on the phone?
                              Many thanks.

That is why he said it’s not for rookies. If you just want to use a phone and don’t what to do the background work to keep it running smooth then it will not be worth it to you. And in that case you should get an iPhone.

The HD2 is a power WM device. If you are not sure what it is, start off with an Omnia II or X2.
