The best option is to go for the HTC Desire which is identical to the Google Nexus One in all but name, its rated as THE iPhone killer too, but personally I'd stick to the BlackBerry O/S as its the most secure and trusted by far in the business community

Qureshi, 26 Apr 2010is it compatible with skype and can any one please tell me... moreHi, as far as I know Shyp will run on most Nokia SmartPhones that run Symbian O/S, and the Maemo O/S that's used on the N900. Also, Skype runs on the iPhone. I'm not sure if there is a third party app that runs similarly to Skype on the HTC Leo (HD2), but it is a pretty smart phone.

what is the difference between ROM Version:1.72.831.1 ( Hongkong-This is where i got mine) and the ROM WWE:1.66.405.2 ( Europe- you provided your SN before to me) ? which is better do you think? I think it is time for me to go back to use the original ROM now. I have enough Cooked ROM at this moment.

at first i mus say this phone is amazing
if you have any problem wit workin with it just search "hd2 xda" in google and you will see a lot of answeres
i have bl40 and this phone also
both of them are great phones in two sytles. bl40 is the best phone and hd2 is the best smart phone

To change ringtone to a song, find the song file you want & touch that file but keep your finger on it till a list comes up, you will see on the list 'Set as ringtone'

How would you change the ringtone to a song... havent seen an option to change that....
Also could someone give some tips to save battery... mine seems to drain off within 3-4 hours...

The issue was in BSB Tweaks Software. I had to disable the option "Tap Time" under the General Section. Once this was done, and I soft reset all worked ok again.

Hmmm.. is it possible to load Android OS on the HD2? I googled, asked around but nothing solid, all I keep getting are links to creepy looking websites.. Would apperciate a definite answer.

Hi everyone,
Recently I am unable to activate my keypad during a call. this means I cannot check my voice mail, as I cannot enter the security code. Also, I have to use the physical key to end the call.
Can someone advice what is necessary to rectify this (hopefully I don't have to hard reset)?

Even if WP7 is released today, this phone will not be obsolete.
The HD2 is a good bet for the next 2 years, and it is for the "connaisseurs" only.
Until then, there will be better phones than HD3 (e.g. HD4 or REAL Omnia XL?/non-Symbian). That would be the great time to update the HD2.

Finally settled on a ROM (Energy Standard).. Was using Energy w/Cookie, but didn't like to install new ROM everytime Cookie released a new version. With the standard ver. I installed Cookie app so if a new release comes I can just uninstall the old, and not a new ROM (too time consuming)..
So far the ROM is nice. I've since cust it to the way I had it with the Miri ROM. Battery life is good (lose about 5-6% per hour in stand by).. Which is okay. I don't use my phone alot on a daily basis. Some days I use more, just depends??
Looks like HTC will release HD3 with WP7 (Which I don't care for).. I hope they get smart and release a WM6.5.X version of the phone (just wishing).... I'll keep my HD2 for a couple of years looks like.. I just don't want to buy a phone where U cannot change the Battery if U need to.. That what turned me away from the iPhone (and the locked down UI)..
Besides the HD2 does everything I need a phone to do.......
