you do know they are very small/light and can be installed/used on the HD2 as well...
that is what "JBlend" in start>tools is for. you can run as many .jar apps in there as you want.

yeah i know you cant edit a word document on 'quickoffice' on symbian but that said, the capacitive t/s on this phone makes the office apps on this difficult to use as it is.

nick, 23 Apr 2010actually the i8910 is exceptionally good at multi-taskingYou say I8910 its good at multi-tasking?

Would it be your phone of choice if you had to do some corrections to an business letter done up at the office in the latest "word" and sent to you by email for review. in the corrections you have to use a calculator and unit converter to work out taxes.
along with the return mail to the office you are sending audio notes taken in .wav format and zipped for easy emailing.
These notes would be used to do the meeting minutes.
And copy some web links of the discuss product, spec sites for quick review and decision making.

The HD2 is my phone of choice for a task like that, can you say the same about the I8910?

What real work are you going to do on the outdated symbian 9.4?
What large program or how much multi-tasking you going to do with only 256mb of RAM ?
What customizations are you going to do to the already outdated inter face to try and make it look new?
And how a person that edits Microsoft office 2007 files on there smart phone do it on that phone that just has a viewer?
If you were just looking for a good movie player, you should have gotten a zune or an ipod.

I can still help you get it on if you like but you will have to hack your phone to do it.

New to HD2, 23 Apr 2010OK. I got it. Thank u very very very much for your help. ... moreThat one is better for switching between programs fast.
It’s called “Touch X longpress sendkey alt tab” and looks like Alt+tab on a PC
But you may sill want to install a task manager as well for when you need to close programs in order to regain RAM. Because as you can see from using the task switcher, pressing the “X” in a program dose not close it, it just sends it to the back ground. I recommend “MMTaskmanager” for closing programs. It can do task switching as well but “Touch X longpress sendkey alt tab” makes task switching faster.
